General Hospital Spoilers: Valentin Set Sonny Up — Will The Mob Boss Give Him A Pass For Anna’s Sake?

General Hospital spoilers suggest Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is a force to be reckoned with. She’s not the kind of woman who takes guff from anyone, especially not when it comes to her past as a double agent for the DVX and WSB.

But she has reason to be concerned when it comes to the recent events in her life. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and the Pikeman Group are connected to the WSB, and the only plausible connection to them is her lover:

Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). While Valentin has been transparent with Anna and admitted such, she knows he’s still holding out on her. She just can’t prove it — yet.

Now, it’s not that she thinks he’s involved in targeting her life — she knows that’s not possible because Valentin would never allow any harm to come to her.

However, what’s puzzling her is that he doesn’t seem all that concerned about the shooting at the Metro Court.

She’s starting to put the pieces of this puzzle together, and all roads seem to lead back to Valentin. Anna might show him some mercy, but that doesn’t mean Sonny will.

General Hospital Spoilers — Victor Cassadine Dug Up Bones For Valentin Cassadine To Carry

Anna has been trying to unravel the twisted web of her past, and it has led her down some dark paths where one thing has remained true:

Valentin has been at the center of this chaos. It’s hard not to wonder how deep his involvement goes — did he have ties to the WSB long before Anna was ever a target of Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) schemes?

Is he simply in over his head, struggling to keep up with the chess game that Victor set into motion and unsure of how to tell her what he’s done?

Regardless, Anna will have to confront the uncomfortable truth that Valentin is a key player working against her, and he may unearth some secrets in the process that she hoped would remain in the dark forever.

After believing she discovered that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) may have been her son, Anna’s maternal instinct kicked in, convincing her that he was worth protecting.

Even though Peter had some serious crimes to answer for, Anna was desperate to give him a second chance. It was only natural for her to hide his misdeeds from those closest to her, but the guilt ate away at her until she could bear it no longer.

With the reveal of Valentin’s betrayal looming, we can only hope that Anna learned from her mistakes with Peter.

Who knows what Anna will do if her loved ones are threatened again — even if it’s by someone else she loves dearly.

General Hospital Spoilers — Valentin Cassadine Is Innocent?

It looks like Anna may be forced to tip Sonny off — even if she has to pay for it with her relationship. But how much information will she give him, exactly?

Will she let him know who’s involved in this whole complicated mess? It’s a tough call — Sonny has been a good friend to her, despite his run-ins with the law.

Still, she respects him. Indeed, it’s a major red flag that Valentin is involved in any of this. On one hand, Sonny should have vetted things better before getting involved with Valentin.

One could argue that whatever happens is on him. But Anna knows Sonny wouldn’t keep her in the dark if he had information on the people trying to kill her.

Can she really exempt herself from extending him the same? If she does tell him the truth, what will become of Valentin? Will she be able to convince
