General Hospital Spoilers: Valentin Tells Laura About Election Scandal – Will He Blackmail Her?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) may be a given an ultimatum very soon. As viewers may recall, when Laura first returned to Port Charles a little over a year ago, the first thing she decided to do was run for mayor of the city. But there had to be an election to decide who would get on the ballot.

Laura entered very late, so she didn’t think she had much of a chance of getting on the ballot. Then Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Bechtel), her grandson, somehow tampered with the results and this allowed Laura to be put on the ballot. Laura went on to win the mayor position from Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth). Even now, she has no idea that Spencer tampered with that initial vote.

But Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) knows what Spencer did and has been holding it over the young man’s head. Spencer’s dislike of Valentin still shows through, and he even recently sent Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) a congratulatory bottle of champagne for dumping Valentin.

General Hospital Spoilers – Warned Laura Spencer To Keep Grandson In Check

Valentin was not pleased and warned Laura to keep her grandson in check, or else. Laura wanted to know what Valentin meant by “or else” but Valentin kept mum. He isn’t likely to stay silent much longer if he perceives that Spencer is somehow still a threat.

It may be time for Valentin to tell Laura that if Spencer doesn’t back off for good, he will have choice but to expose Spencer’s election tampering. While Laura will likely be upset about what such a revelation could do to her position as mayor, she will even be more worried about what could happen to Spencer.

Would he be arrested and if so, how severe would his punishment be. This could put Laura in a very awkward situation because she values the truth above all else. She might even decide to come forward with the information herself, and face the consequences herself. It’s even possible that she would take the blame herself, leaving Spencer out of it.

General Hospital Spoilers – Spencer Cassadine Needs His Father Back

It’s unlikely Laura would let herself be blackmailed by Valentin. But Spencer definitely needs his father, so it’s a good thing that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) is back.

Spencer needs the guidance of his father, and Laura will ecstatic once father and son are reunited. Hopefully, she won’t have to give up being mayor to pay for Spencer’s actions.
