General Hospital Spoilers: Valentin’s Evil Twin Takes Over?

General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) hasn’t been acting like himself since leaving Chechnya.

Could Valentin have an evil twin or an imposter who’s taken his place, and is framing him and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes)-and the real Valentin’s being held captive somewhere?

General Hospital Spoilers – Why Didn’t Valentin Cassadine Go To Anna Devane First?

True, Valentin had promised Laura Collins (Genie Francis) he’d check in on Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) when she and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) sent him home.

Valentin had also called Anna to give him a message about Pikeman to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to only deal with the Pikeman rep he knew.

He had been very hesitant to go to Chechnya to look for Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) after Anna’s front door was spray painted with “murderer” in red.

He’d taken a picture with his phone before Anna washed it off and sent it to Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper).

That’s what she and Anna were talking about at the Metro Court prior to the sniper attacks that missed Anna and Sonny, but hit Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).

GH Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine Didn’t Pick Up Charlotte Cassadine Till After The Fire

Valentin didn’t go to pick up his daughter Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) until after the fire at Anna’s house either-he was in town a couple of days before that.

That seems quite unusual for Valentin, a man who dotes on his daughter and gave in to blackmail by his father because Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) had her captive.

However, he had no qualms telling Spencer he was now the head of the family, Nikolas still missing, and wanted to hold baby Ace Prince-Cassadine (Joey and Jay Clay).

Valentin did appear to have gotten attached to the baby in Greenland, carrying him on the way to the rescue craft before Spencer caught up.

But that doesn’t provide answers for Valentin’s strange behavior after arriving in Port Charles from Chechnya in regards to delaying connection with his girlfriend and daughter.

General Hospital Spoilers – Is This Valentin Cassadine An Imposter?

It’s unlikely that Valentin has a secret evil twin, unless it’s one that Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) hid from both Mikkos Cassadine (John Colicos) and Victor.

It is possible, considering how she treated her daughter Irina Cassadine (Alyshia Ochse) hiding her in the basement and keeping drugged up like an insane woman. Irina could also have been Victor’s, therefore Valentin’s sister, although that has never been investigated.

But it very well could be that this Valentin, newly arrived home from Chechnya, could be an imposter, planted by whoever is targeting Anna.

That’s why he’s under suspicion of setting the fire himself and acting so differently towards her and Charlotte-and having some agenda concerning Spencer and Ace!
