General Hospital Spoilers: Wally Kurth Dishes On Singing & Acting In His New Film

ABC General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal that soon Wally Kurth fans will have a third option to see their favorite thespian. Right now he’s pulling double duty as Ned Quartermaine on ABC’s General Hospital and as Justin Kiriakis on NBC’s Days of our Lives.

Now you can also catch him in a new movie, More Beautiful for Having Been Broken. It’s an indie film from writer and director Nicole Conn and Kurth’s character is named Buck. Kurth’s character is a bartender who works at the town bar.

He recently spoke to Soap opera Digest about his new venture and said, “I saw the movie and it’s terrific.”

Wally Kurth Sings In His New Movie

He explained that in the film he is a local, and a singer in a small band. So yes fans, we’re going to get a twofer, with Wally acting as well as singing!

In fact, his music (Kurth & Taylor) is played.

The film features a troubled woman (Zoe Ventoura) who has been suspended by the FBI. After her suspension, she retreats to a small town where she meets a special needs boy and the two develop a bond. The movie is available on VOD platforms and on DVD.

Wally Kurth Is Joined By Another Daytime Drama Vet In The Film

Of the movie he says, “The cinematography is beautiful, the writing is lovely, and the performances are great.”

The move includes another daytime drama veteran, Harley Jane Kozak who played Mary on Santa Barbara and Annabelle on Guiding Light.

General Hospital is currently on hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic. In mid-March film and television production around the world was suspended in order to help curb the spread of the virus which to date has killed hundreds of thousands of individuals worldwide.

The show recently ran out of original content and has been airing flashback episodes. Each week involves a theme, with the Nurses Ball theme taking up three weeks’ worth of viewing.

What will happen to Ned Quartermaine when the show returns? At the present time he is embroiled in a few dramas: trying to regain control of ELQ, managing to keep his feisty daughter Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) out of jail, and helping his wife Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) deal with her unresolved grief and anger over her son Dante Falconari’s (Dominic Zamprogna) absence from Port Charles.
