General Hospital Spoilers: What will 2020 Bring For Sonny Corinthos?

While we patiently wait for new episodes of General Hospital, we thought we would take a stab at what we think may happen with some of our favorite characters in the coming year. This is all just for fun, while we wait for new shows to finally air. So let’s look at Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard).

General Hospital Spoilers – Mike Corbin passes on…

Sonny is likely in for personal heartbreak as we get further into 2020. His father, Mike Corbin (Max Gail) has slowly become more and more incapacitated because of Alzheimer’s. Sadly, Mike will likely lose his battle with the disease. But Sonny should take some comfort that the last year or so were made so much better for because of Sonny’s love. But losing his father will still have a profound impact on the mobster.

GH Spoilers – Waterfront Renovations

Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) has started to focus on the Waterfront district. She wants to renovate the entire waterfront area. This will likely put her at odds with Sonny. Sonny does most of his business on the pier so the two of them will either have to work something out or risk losing their longtime friendship. Laura just wants to Docks to be safe. But she has to realize that Sonny is the better choice than some of his enemies. The piers of Port Charles are prime real estate for the criminal underworld. And Sonny doesn’t deal with drugs or guns and there is no guarantee that someone else won’t use the piers for that purpose.

General Hospital Spoilers – Enemies

Someone seems to be trying to take over Sonny’s area. There is no hard evidence just yet who is behind this threat but it’s also something that will take most of Sonny’s time in the near future. Sonny will likely win out over this threat like he has all others in the past. But perhaps its for him to consider going completely legit. That may weigh on Sonny’s mind as the year progresses.
