General Hospital Spoilers: When Michael Ruins Sonny — Will Carly Take Over The Business?

General Hospital spoilers tease Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) has big plans in store for his father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) — who is oblivious to anything Michael has going on. Michael thinks he has covered every possible avenue that this can pan out, but he’s doing so assuming there is no way Sonny’s business of organized crime will remain standing.

Unfortunately for Michael, Sonny has planned for this day knowing it could always come. He has parts of his business structure so tucked away that the police will never find them, but one person knows where they are — Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).

Michael almost called this scheme of his off recently when he realized just how dangerous it’s getting for everyone involved. The truth is, Michael is overwhelmed by the circumstances of his personal life, and he’s not sure he can handle much more in the way of surprises. With Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) declining the way it is while she’s due to give birth to his child early next year, the last thing he needs is this plan to take Sonny down causing his own life to unravel at the seams.

Michael isn’t feeling so strong, and he has no one to talk to about what’s going on because Willow doesn’t want anyone to know. Still, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) insisted he was quite close to having all the information Michael needs to ruin Sonny, so they’re going to forge ahead with the plan. When they reach the end game and pull the trigger, Sonny will know it was his own child who betrayed him with Dex’s help.

After the truth comes out exposing Sonny as the mob boss that everyone knows he is, there won’t be any question about what happens to him next. Sonny will be arrested. Given the recent conversation he had with his other son, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), it sounds like Dante will be the one who has to arrest him. Sonny won’t go back on his word; he isn’t going to hold it against Dante for doing his job and he won’t love him any less. However, how Sonny feels about Michael is certain to change.

General Hospital Spoilers — Who Will Take The Reins?

In the midst of the takedown, Sonny’s enemies will be circling round to seize his property. It’s hard to say who might come to his aid, and who might be ballsy enough to try to overtake what’s left of his business. The police will raid much of it, and he will feel the force of the fall of his empire.

However, Sonny planned for this, and he knows not every corner of his business will be eradicated. Who will run it though? Without Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) around to put out the fire, the only other person who will know how to and who could possibly command the respect needed from the five families will be Carly.
