General Hospital Spoilers: Who Is the Best GH Couple of 2019?

Another year is about to end and along with that comes the Best of the Best for this past year. Who is the top General Hospital couple and who fell just a little short of the honor?

General Hospital Spoilers – Franco Baldwin and Liz Baldwin

General Hospital’s Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) and Liz Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) have a large following. However, some GH fans are no on the Friz bandwagon. Some fans simply cannot see the reasoning for these two characters being put together. Franco, tumor or not, is a sexual predator and Liz is a rape survivor. Whether the fans against them are just not fans or simply don’t see the matchup, not everyone loves them.

Not every fan accepts them. Some fans never will be ok with this pairing. The fact that Franco, with Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) memories, slept with another woman doesn’t help either. Friz gets an honorable mention but they are not the number one couple.

GH Spoilers – Jason Morgan and Sam McCall

As a fan of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) I would love to say that Jasam is our couple of the year but no, they didn’t make the cut either. Jason and Sam have spent way more time apart than they have together this year.

Jasam started off really well with the New Year’s Eve party but went downhill quickly when Sam felt the urge to take down Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) by joining Dawn of Day. Sam and Jason’s untimely break up didn’t help their status at all. Even Jasam fans see that something is missing and want more than what we are seeing. Jason and Sam used to be so much more. Until the Jasam connection is back, they aren’t ranking as best couple.

General Hospital Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos and Carly Corinthos

General Hospitals Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) win the BEST COUPLE of the year hands down. Sonny and Carly have been a strong couple historically for years. Of course Sonny and Carly have had their ups and downs. Sonny and Carly have divorced and remarried several times. However, this year, from the time Carly found out she was pregnant, Sonny has stood by her side. Sonny and Carly dealt with their daughter’s Spinal Bifida diagnosis together.

Sonny supported Carly through her doctor’s appointments, ultrasounds, telling their other children about the baby. Sonny was with Carly when their daughter was born. Sonny was there while Donna’s surgery took place keeping Carly updated on her progress. Sonny has done all of this while dealing with his ailing father as well. Sonny and Carly have been the most supportive couple this year. Sonny and Carly have shown they can handle anything as long as they are together. Sonny and Carly certainly deserve the distinction of General Hospital’s Best Couple of 2019.
