Mac insists he had no idea Dominique Baldwin (Shell Danielson) ever had a child, and Cody will come around to believing that, given how welcoming Mac and his family are to him. But will Mac believe all that Cody has to say?

Port Charles has a prized hospital on deck, and Mac is a by the book kind of guy. So it’s likely Mac will think a DNA test to determine Cody’s paternity is the next best course of action. It’s too soon to say whether Cody will take offense to that kind of formality. He’s more of a pay the bookie kind of son, but he won’t have much room to balk at the request, given that it’s entirely reasonable.

So far, we’ve gleaned that Cody might have a bit of a sketchy past, but wouldn’t Mac have already unearthed anything too conspicuous during his investigation into the guy? It’s looking like Cody might have done some things he’s not proud of, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they were criminal.

On the other hand, his old pal Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) seems unnerved that Cody is in town. Dante wouldn’t be bummed if Cody climbed back up on the horse he rode in on and scooted out of town, but he’s been hesitant to vocalize that, knowing it would bring questions about why he doesn’t want Cody around. Could it be that Dante actually has more lurking in his past that he wants to keep there, and Cody is the only person that could bring it all to light?

General Hospital Spoilers – Reveals Dante Falconeri Will Stand Between Mac Scorpio and Cody Bell

Dante doesn’t have a spotless past. The ethical good guy routine he brings to the table sometimes overshadows decisions he’s made in the past to bend the rules. Remember when Dante claimed to be a father to Brenda Barrett’s (Vanessa Marcil) son? Sure, it was in the name of protecting him, but rules were broken regardless. Dante also had it out for his dad, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) at one point, and he hasn’t shied away from a relationship with him despite knowing the work Sonny is involved in as a drug lord.

As Cody starts to consider reciprocating the open arms Mac, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) are holding out, Dante may step in to encourage him to keep his distance.
