General Hospital spoilers say that he might be presumed to be dead, but that doesn’t mean he’s gone forever. In fact, if there’s anything that we’ve learned about this fictional town of Port Charles, it’s that you’re never really dead even if that last nail is hammered into your coffin.
And that’s exactly what fans may be thinking when it comes to Jason Morgan. In fact, there’s been a whole lot of speculation on whether or not the character will come back to life in 2023. Here’s what you need to know.
General Hospital Spoilers – Will Jason Morgan Return To Port Charles In 2023?
There’s some fan speculation that the producers of the show might recast the character seeing how his best friend Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is in desperate need of someone right now.
Carly’s life is crumbling to pieces so of course, it would only make sense for her superhero of a best friend to come back home and rescue her, right? That is, if he’s even alive. Viewers are sure hoping he is as they’ve missed seeing Jason Morgan on the canvas ever since his portrayer Steve Burton left the show back in 2021.
Because Steve refused to comply with the ABC network’s vaccine mandate, he was let go. The last time that the character was seen on the canvas was back in November of last year. Wes Ramsey’s character Peter August also met his fate back in February. And while a lot of people let out a huge sigh of relief over Peter’s death, some people would love to see Jason back.
Seeing how Steve Burton has made no indication that he will be returning to the soap anytime soon, some are suggesting that Wes Ramsey should take his place. That would sure make for some great television seeing how Wes Ramsey is dating Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) in real life, right?
GH Spoilers – Is There Room For Jason In Port Charles?
While there’s no doubt that Jason Morgan could be alive and well somewhere out there, no one knows for sure. But of course, fans would love to see him again.

I would absolutely love to see Jason return and rescue Carly. Also I don’t like Sonny new persona and I don’t like him with Nina. He’s a mobster remember?? Nina needs to crack up again and leave, sorry. Porsche is a little to silly and immature to be a doctor (IMO) and she needs to act like an adult. Laura needs a haircut and so does Bobbie. Nothing wrong with long hair on older women but at least have it at a reasonable length and healthy looking. Please marry Michael and Willow and let Sasha find some true happiness and stability. Ava is perfect that’s enough for now
Bring Steve Button back and start writing better scripts like you used to. Quit running a storyline for a year it gets boring. Long time viewer since the 70’s

Bring back Steve burton then you will have a great storyline for Carly those two have great chemistry together we will see Carly straighten up a little and that way we don’t have to put up with Nina’s whining everyday

Yes only Steve is Jason Morgan, I’ve watched since I was young, late70’s. But Jason and Sam. They were it..I was even alright with the temporary Drew thing..It had to play out. But Sam and Jason always.. Carly needs her BFF. He can try to go legit. Whatever. But since Jason left, I quit watching. I just couldn’t do it. Even with Elizabeth and Franko I could handle. But when sonny lost his mind, and was Mike. Okay. I let it play,but I just couldn’t do it.. Jason is meant to be with Sam. Carly needs find her man.
