General Hospital Spoilers: Will Spencer’s Election Tampering Finally Be Revealed?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) will finally come clean with Laura Collins (Genie Francis) about tampering with the election that allowed Laura time to campaign and finally win the when it was rescheduled.

Laura had just returned to Port Charles and was very late in getting her name in the ring to run for mayor. In order to help his grandmother, Spencer seemed to alter the results so Laura would be able to run in the final mayor’s race.

Laura did win the final election, but she wouldn’t have been given the opportunity to even run had Spencer not tampered with the results the way it did. The election tampering was discovered but Spencer’s role in it has never been revealed. But Spencer’s hated cousin, Valentin Cassadine (Jon Patrick Stuart) did discover the truth and has threatened to tell Laura when Spencer was working to get back into Wyndemere and kick Valentin out.

General Hospital Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine Has Kept His Word So Far

Valentin has kept his word and so far, Laura still hasn’t found out that Spencer committed the crime in order to help get her elected. But truthfully, would it make that much of a difference now. The election Laura actually won was not tampered with, it was the run off election held prior that allowed her to run at all! But what would Laura do with that information?

Laura values honestly but to avoid Spencer having to face some sort of legal ramifications, she might keep quiet. She might feel she can punish Spencer herself . But the question remains, would she leave the position as Mayor? There is no doubt Laura is doing a great job. But she wouldn’t feel right if she didn’t at least try to make it right somehow. Before she makes a decision, she might seek out Ned (Wally Kurth). Ned was her opponent in the election so she might check with him to see if he even still wants to be mayor.

Ned was actually not all that upset when he lost the election, and he doesn’t want the job anymore . He will be happy that Laura told him the truth, but he will see no reason to put Spencer’s name through the mud, and Ned won’t seek to take the job back, she he might suggest that she just leave it alone since no good will come out of it. But he will likely warn her that Spencer’s behavior should be addressed before he does something that really will get him in trouble that he won’t be able to get out of.

General Hospital Spoilers – Spencer Cassadine Has Been Acting Out

Spencer is at boarding school in Europe to keep him as far away from Valentin as possible. This story point should tie in nicely as everything seems to point to Nikolas making a grand reappearance very soon. And if the codicil to Miikkos’ will really is out there and will take Valentine down, Spencer may finally get his dad back and Valentin ousted from Wyndemere.
