General Hospital spoilers confirm that there have been some online rumors that McMullen is interested in taking a break from the ABC soap, much like her colleagues, Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) and Steve Burton (Jason Morgan), have this year.

While nothing has been confirmed by the actress or the ABC soap, this might be because the show is hoping to shock fans with a crazy plot twist!

What if Willow’s exit storyline for an extended break is being charged with Brennan’s passing/disappearance?

The WSB’s Investigation

General Hospital’s preview for the week of September 14 shows Brennan’s wallet being found, and the WSB’s William Baines (Alimi Ballard) arresting someone unknown at the Metro Court Pool.

While fans feel as if the person arrested for Brennan’s demise might be Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), what if it ends up being Willow?

Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) planted Brennan’s wallet in Nina’s car; however, what if Willow had been using her mother’s vehicle in and around the timeframe of the WSB agent’s disappearance? Baines would redirect his investigation from Nina and target Willow.

Then there’s the idea that Brennan’s body is discovered this week. The conservation area where the man’s body lies is next to the Quartermaine estate, which is where Willow currently resides.

Baines may also find Brennan’s black box, which is stacked with intel. Could he find the dashcam footage that was erased from Drew’s shooting trial?

Baines may feel as if Brennan having this intel almost proves that Willow is not only a killer (who shot Drew) but had motive to eliminate Brennan as he was holding this over her head.

Regardless, the WSB whisking Willow away for a trial would take weeks, if not months, and would allow MacMullen to take a break and then return.
