 General Hospital Spoilers – Ryan Chamberlain Is Blackmailing Ava  Jerome With Nelle Benson Jerome’s “Death Wish” Letter

Viewers will recall that Nelle Benson Jerome’s (Chloe Lanier) “death wish” letter was not in Attorney Martin Gray’s (Michael E. Knight) briefcase. Ava had first tried to help her brother Julian Jerome (William DeVry) to retrieve the letter by breaking into Martin’s office. He and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) came to go into the office and she distracted them long enough for Julian to getaway.

Then Julian mugged Martin and stole his briefcase – but the letter in it wasn’t what he needed! The real letter, which was supposed to have been sent upon Nelle’s “death” (which is still up for debate) went to Ryan. Once he received it and read it, he called Ava. He knows that Ava loves her brother and wouldn’t want him to be taken down by Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Ryan then came up with a plan to try to win Ava back – in whatever way he could have her, considering he’s still incarcerated!

Ava went to Pentonville Prison to see him – while both Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and Julian wondered where she was! As Julian and Nikolas stood in Charlie’s Pub talking about it, Nikolas realized she must have gone to see Ryan! Viewers will recall that she got the phone call while with Nik and Julian and both told her to hang up!

GH Spoilers – Nikolas Cassadine Goes To The Prison After Ava Jerome

Nikolas went to prison after Ava, but not until Ryan had started making his demands. She tried to get privacy and told Nikolas to leave, but he refused! She finally convinced him she was safe, and there was bulletproof glass between her and Ryan! Ryan had made a deal with her to come to visit him in the prison once a week. He wanted her to share her hopes and dreams with him, and at least be able to have an intimate friendship. She agreed – grudgingly.

Ryan had told her if she didn’t, the letter would go to Sonny. It spelled out how Julian had been complicit in keeping Wiley Corinthos’ (Erik and Theodore Olson) true parentage a secret after Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) had confessed the baby swap to him. Ava knew that Sonny would certainly put a hit out on Julian if he knew the truth. He may even take Julian out to the pine barrens himself!

But Ryan had to up the ante after Nikolas burst in. Even sociopathic Ryan could tell Nikolas and Ava love each other even though they deny it! He told Ava. He’d already known she married Nikolas and figured it was for the Cassadine money. After she finally convinced Nik to leave, he told Ava she had to divorce her husband to keep Julian’s secret safe!

 General Hospital Spoilers -Even Ryan Chamberlain Knows The Cassadines’ Reputation

Even Ryan knows the Cassadines’ evil reputation and coming from him, that’s saying a lot! He couldn’t figure out why Ava would marry a Cassadine if it wasn’t for the money! From Mikkos Cassadine (John Colicos) right on down the line, they all have a sneaky, if not downright evil side. Even teenage Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas J. Bechtel) has come up with a few Cassadine-like schemes!

Nikolas is no stranger to them himself – although his relative Valentin is a little more experienced. He may not be his nephew but they’re still related through Helena Cassadine, (Constance Towers) so he’s his grandnephew. There is still some question as to whether Nikolas made his ex-wife Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) disappear permanently, so Nikolas is not one to be toyed with.

The one way that Ava can protect Julian without divorcing Nikolas is to trust Nik enough to be honest with him. She needs to tell him what Ryan has and what he has threatened to do. If ANYONE can pull off a fake divorce con, it’s a Cassadine! If she doesn’t-she’s faced with several things. She will lose the Cassadine money and mansion, she will lose Nikolas, and she may still lose Julian to Sonny! After all, Ryan breathes as many lies as Nelle does!
