Wright, who plays the role of Carly Corinthos on the daytime drama, posted an old photo of herself taking a break in during a charity softball game between ABC and CBS. Back then, she was playing for the ABC team because she was one of the cast members of the show titled, Loving. The actress revealed that she was 23 years old in the photo. In the caption, she added the hashtags, #selflove, #livebabylive, #YOUarebeautiful.

It was taken by photographer Steven Bergman, who probably was going through some old snaps before he shared the photo with the actress. Bergman has been taking photos of Wright since she joined the cast of ABC’s Loving.

GH Spoilers – Laura Wright’s Struggles With Body Image

The actress admitted that she was ashamed of her body during that time. She wanted to lose 10 pounds more so she could feel that she’s “perfect and worthy of love.” At this age, Wright said she overlooked the things she loved and just focused on being skinny enough so she could be loved

“Every day, all day long, these were my thoughts,” she said.

“30 years later I’m finally discovering how beautiful life is,” she continued.

“How grateful I am for a body that has been with me and taking care of me for 51 years,” she realized.

Now, she knows that life can be fun because she decided to live. The actress admitted that she wasn’t sure why she shared this personal experience with her followers. She revealed that she found the photo the night before. If given a chance, she’d hug her young self and tell her that she’s amazing.
