Genie Francis Returns To General Hospital

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Genie Francis is returning to the daytime drama as Laura Webber Collins. The report about Francis’ return was first reported by ABC7.

ABC7’s entertainment reporter George Pennachio shared some details about the return of the actress. He didn’t mention a specific date as to when Francis will return but he did mention that she’ll be back in “early December.”

Back in August, Francis shared that she was taking a break as Laura. In a General Hospital Christmas preview shared by @kathysblachat on Twitter, Francis said in an interview that “It’s the perfect time to come back, isn’t it Christmas?”

General Hospital  – Cast Members Welcome Francis Back

In the clip, Laura can be seen talking to her brother Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) about how Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) forced them into hiding because he was the kind of person who would never stop until he gets revenge.

Other cast members of the soap welcomed the return of Francis. William Lipton likened Francis to his kind of grandma on the show.

“It’s always so sweet to get some affection from the amazing Genie Francis,” he said.

“She’s really, really amazing to work with,” Nicholas Alexander Chavez said.

Other cast members shown in the clip include Maura West (Ava Jerome Cassadine), Marcus Coloma (Nikolas Cassadine), Jophielle Love (Violet Finn), and more.

GH Spoilers – Genie Francis’ Past Christmases On GH

Francis recalls that she’s been with the daytime drama since she was 14 years old. She’s spent a lot of Christmases in Port Charles. The actress said that she’s very fortunate to share most part of her life with the people in the soap.

She recalled one of Laura’s memorable Christmases. The actress said it was when she and Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) gazed up at a star on the family tree back in 1978. It was then that Laura told Scotty that she wished someone like him would fall in love with her and ask her to marry him. Laura’s wish came true as she tied the knot with Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom).

General Hospital Spoilers – For Christmas

In upcoming scenes for the soap’s Christmas episode, Martin suggested that perhaps the threat against them has been eliminated. But Laura is doubtful that Cyrus would give up that easily.

Spoilers that Cyrus will be causing more trouble. But they also have to worry about Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), too. Laura won’t be pleased when she learns that Victor is alive and has been granted immunity.
