General Hospital Spoilers tease that Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) is going to have quite happy surprise come this holiday season, but it will come at a price. While one son will be miraculously returned to his family, another may be lost to them forever. Although loss is nothing new to Monica, this will still quite a bit for her to take in.

As viewers know, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is currently on Cassadine Island with Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to rescue Britt’s mother, Dr. Leisl O’Brecht (Kathleen Gati). But Jason’s long thought dead twin brother, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is also there. Both are the captive of Peter August (Wes Ramsey). To make matters worse, Drew has been conditioned to follow Peter’s every instruction. Although Jason and Britt know how Drew’s conditioning works, and will likely be able to free him, it may just cost Jason his own life.

General Hospital Spoilers – Drew Cain Comes Home, But Jason Morgan Doesn’t!

While Monica will be more than overjoyed to reunite with her long missing son, she will mourn the loss of her other son. Monica had thought that Drew was lost to her forever, so seeing him alive and well will fill her heart with joy. But Monica loves Jason too, and the news that he is gone will be devastating. While Drew reunites with friends and family, Jason’s family, and his children in particular will have to live without their father.

Monica won’t want to take away from the joy of seeing Drew but the loss of Jason will weigh heavily on her as the holiday season approaches. Monica has lost so many family members over the years. She and Jason haven’t always been close. They were at odds for years over Jason’s choice to work as Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Bernard) enforcer. But they have been able to put all the animosity aside.

In recent years, Monica and Jason have truly formed a mother and son relationship. She only discovered Drew a few years ago, but she loves him just as much. It’s going to be a holiday season filled with both joy and anguish for the Quartermaines!
