GH Spoilers: Portia’s Dilemma, Should She Tell Curtis the Truth?

 General Hospital: Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr)General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will soon face a dilemma. Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will surprise her with a marriage proposal, and she’ll struggle with telling him the truth about his birth daughter Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

General Hospital Spoilers: The Truth She Almost Told

Viewers will remember when Portia and Curtis first met again after many years, there were questions surrounding the conception of Trina. Curtis and Portia had an affair around that time, while Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) was away with the DEA. Marcus and Jordan Ashford, (Tanisha Harper) who was still married to Curtis when Portia and Curtis got reacquainted, had been a partner with Marcus on a task force.

At that time, she denied Curtis was Trina’s birth father when he asked her, realizing Trina was the right age. But when Jordan and Portia were trapped in a basement with a gas leak and Jordan passed out, Trina almost told her the truth.

GH Spoilers: Curtis Ashford’s Surprise

 Portia was nervous after Trina’s trial when Curtis was talking to her about the wonderful news that her charges were dropped. Everyone on Team Trina was overjoyed, but as she and Curtis sat on the couch he told her he loved Trina like his own, Portia’s eyes and expression changed. It was easy to see she was thinking about the truth, that Trina really is Curtis’ own; with him and Jordan divorced – as far as they know – she should spill. Viewers will remember Stella Henry (Verneé Watson) has a secret of her own she needs to spill; Curtis and Jordan’s divorce papers were never filed. But as Curtis surprises Portia with a marriage proposal and likely a ring, she’s concerned with her own secret and that it’s time she tells him the truth.

General  Hospital Spoilers: How Will She Tell Him?

Portia considers carefully how she will tell Curtis the truth about Trina being his daughter, but there’s the problem with where she lied to him about it earlier. She doesn’t want to admit that when they first got reacquainted she’d lied to him that she knew Trina wasn’t his. Now she’s going to have to backtrack somehow and try to cover up that lie with another one, that she didn’t think he was the father but recently found out.

Portia had submitted some of Trina’s DNA for genetic testing to make sure she didn’t inherit Marshall Ashford’s (Robert Gossett) markers for schizophrenia. But she can’t even use that to cover her long-ago lie about Trina’s birth father being Curtis, because there’s no schizophrenia in her or Marcus-what will she do?
