Laura, knows the struggle is real. She shared her own debilitating experience with “severe anxiety – hot flashes and panic attacks.” She stressed that menopause affects every woman differently, and so does the care needed. Her key message through, was: “You do not have to just get through it.”
For those feeling lost, she recommended The Collaborative Telemed, saying, “They will listen. They will hold space for you. They will believe you and they will help you.” This aligns with her earlier post about the event, where she thanked Dr. Heather Hirsch and The Collaborative Telemed for “learning so much about menopause options and busting myths around menopause care!”
Fan Reactions Pour In
As expected, Laura’s candid post reacted deeply with her ABC fans. The comments section quickly filled with messages of gratitude and shared experiences.
One daytime drama fan wrote, “Funny (in a great way) how you just posted this, because I was actually going to text you a question about it later today.”

Another one highlighted a major symptom Laura mentioned, saying, “The anxiety has been life changing. Thank you for sharing this.”
Many women love her honesty. “It is definitely a scary feeling to go through when you never experienced it before…Thank you so much for this information,” a fan commented.
The feeling of being dismissed by medical professionals was a recurring theme. One frustrated fan shared, “menopause is the hardest thing ever. I was just at my doctors and was explaining to her again how I feel and asking her can I get blood work to check my levels, and all I hear is no there is nothing we can do.”
It seems that the follower felt alone with their concerns, adding how they experienced a brushoff, “Just have to go through it. Well it’s been 2 1/2 years and I feel like I am all alone on this and no one wants to hear me or help me.”
Another one told Laura Wright from their heart, “You have no idea how much this means that you write something like this @welcometolaurasworld I’m 51 years old and I am struggling through menopause. It’s the worst thing ever.”
Laura’s willingness to share her personal experiences with aging and direct fans to resources seems to have provided comfort and validation to many other people. In fact, it seems that her openness is truly helping women navigate the challenges of this stage of life.
