Elsewhere, news of Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) and Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) rushed wedding plans reached Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper). They’re planning to have the nuptials on Valentine’s Day. Because of this, Jordan believes that now is the best time for the paternity secret to be exposed.

Jordan wants Curtis to know that he is Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) biological father. She believes that nothing good comes out of keeping secrets, and she doesn’t want Portia to get married with something this big hanging over her head.

I knew Jonathan Frid since I was 16 years old and helped him with his fan mail. Dark Shadows and Beyond:The Jonathan Frid Story is a great tribute to him, and I am very happy I was a part of it. Mary O’Leary worked tirelessly on this and now is working just a hard to keep his legacy alive on the new website, jonathanfrid.org.
Also , it was a inspired touch to have Ian Buchanan read exempts from Jonathan’s letters he wrote to his parents.

I was fortunate to be one of those “studio kids” who hung around the Dark Shadows studio on West 53rd in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. Jonathan was always so kind and generous with this fans. Totally unaffected by his immense popularity, Jonathan, without a doubt was the hugest star on daytime television! You’re in for a treat if you haven’t had a chance to view Dark Shadows and Beyond: The Jonathan Frid Story. It is the ultimate tribute to this phenomenal actor and person. Mary O’Leary and MPI have pulled out all the stops and made this the quintessential authority on the life and career on Jonathan Frid. The viewer will learn about Jonathan’s roots from his early beginnings in Canada. Extensive research and interviews with friends and family of Jonathan’s career before and after Dark Shadows kept me wanting more. And of course lots of never before told stories of Jonathan’s time on DS. Tons of never before seen photos and stage appearances as well. Jonathan would be proud of the hard work Mary and her team put into this documentary. A labor of love for sure. This film is a MUST for any fan of Jonathan’s! I recently discovered jonathanfrid.org where you can learn more about the film and overall a great source for anything Jonathan Frid!

The Frid documentary is a wonderful testament to this amazing man. I was fortunate enough to have met him many times. Mary O’Leary did a fabulous job on the documentary, and it has won many awards, and was nominated for an Emmy. And now the new website is continuing his legacy. I highly recommend both!

How lucky are we that 7 time Emmy award winning producer, Mary O’Leary chose to bring her formidable talent and artistic sensibilities to bear in producing and directing the fascinating documentary “Dark Shadows and Beyond-The Jonathan Frid Story”.

Ms. O’Leary masterfully takes us behind the scenes with rare interviews, heretofore unseen clips and photos skillfully narrated over a compelling score. The film beautifully answers the question “Who was the man behind the vampire’s cloak?”

Indeed, we learn why it is that 50 years after his tour de force characterization of Barnabas Collins in daytime’s Dark Shadows, and 10 years after his passing, Jonathan Frid continues to mint new fans, sparking love, loyalty and admiration in fans who range in age from boomers to modern children.

The film illuminates the kindness, generosity, humor and humanity that underscore Mr. Frid’s mesmerizing acting talent.

In short, a marvelous film about a marvelous man.

Ms. O’Leary has also gifted us with a stunning new website Jonathanfrid.org – Thank you!
    Brava!
