Young And The Restless News: Kelly Sullivan Lands Exciting New Gig

Former “General Hospital” star Kelly Sullivan, who’s known for her role on the soap as Kate Howard, lands a gig in an upcoming crime drama movie titled “Martingale.”

Sullivan, who has also been cast on “The Young and The Restless” as Sage Warner, will play the role of Andi. Her character is a security officer at a casino who is looking to exact revenge for her teenage daughter who was raped and killed while uncovering her small town’s big secrets.

Based on the behind-the-scenes photo shared by Sullivan on Instagram, the movie was shot in Washington. Her post captioned, “@williamshockley and I made a very cool movie with very cool people. I’m excited to share it with you. #Martingale #MakingMovies#Washington #CannotWait”

Sullivan is working with William Shockley, who will portray the role of Hartland. The actor had good things to say about Sullivan as he described her as “talented and fearless.” He also hinted that “This film is going to grab you by the throat and slam you against a wall 🎥.”

Other cast members include Rachelle Henry, Jason Adkins, James Grixoni, and more. It is directed by Jeremy Berg and written by Chris Joseph Taylor. Further details about the movie are yet to be revealed.

Sullivan portrayed Kate Howard between September 2011 and September 2013. Rumors that she was let go by the ABC Series arose in June 2013, and she eventually confirmed her exit through a post on Facebook.

You have really made my experience here on GH a wonderful adventure. I wanted to fill you all in on the details and try to answer some of your questions. I am not returning to GH after August. Sullivan filmed her last scenes on “General Hospital” in July 2013, and she exited the soap when her character was killed off. She reprised the role for one episode that aired in October 2014. After she left GH, Sullivan was cast as Mrs. Hart in “Henry Danger,” Sage Warner on “The Young and the Restless,” Bonnie Hayes in “Too Close to Home,” and more.
