Premiering as part of Great American Christmas 2024, Great American Family has announced the start of production on a new, original holiday movie, Home Sweet Christmas. The movie stars Candace Cameron Bure and Cameron Mathison. Read on to find out the plot of the movie and its cast.

Great American Family announces production on Home Sweet Christmas

Home Sweet Christmas is a world premiere original movie starring Candace Cameron Bure and Cameron Mathison and is set to premiere during Great American Christmas 2024. Readers should note that the previously announced movie, Jingle Bells, Wedding Bells will not be in production in 2024. Instead, Bure is set to star in two Christmas movies, Home Sweet Christmas and A Christmas Less Traveled.

 According to the press release, Sophie Marlow (Bure) is a successful mergers and acquisitions attorney, who is called home to Waynesbridge, Washington after her great uncle’s passing. Uncle Henry left Sophie 60 percent ownership in his Marlow Maple Meadows, a sugar maple forest.

While Sophie hasn’t been on the property for decades, she immediately starts retracing the happy steps of her youth. However, she then encounters Sam (Mathison), her long-lost childhood friend, who has returned to the farm after learning that Henry left him the other 40 percent of the property.

The legacy property means a quick sale is likely, but Sophie and Sam will discover that neither of them is ready to let go just yet.

Where have you seen the cast before?

Candace Cameron Bure, who plays Sophie, is known for her roles in Ainsley McGregor Mysteries, A Christmas Present and My Christmas Hero. Meanwhile, Cameron Mathison, who plays Sam had previously starred in General Hospital, A Kindhearted Christmas and A Merry Christmas Wish.

At this stage of production, other cast members have not yet been announced.

The new, original movie Home Sweet Christmas is a Syrup Studios production in association with Candy Rock Entertainment. Mick MacKay serves as a producer, while Paula Elle directs the movie from an original screenplay penned by Kevin Commins and Robin Dunne.
