Great American Family Launches New Original Series County Rescue

Former Hallmark Channel CEO Bill Abbott is continuing the major rivalry between his new network, Great American Family and Hallmark. The rival feel-good network is releasing a new, original series titled County Rescue.

Since former Hallmark CEO Bill Abbott founded Great American Family, the network has become a strong rival for the feel-good network. Moreover, the network has aired several original movies and has even taken up the Kitten Bowl, now dubbed the Great American Rescue Bowl, after Hallmark dropped it.

Meanwhile, Great American Family is now setting its sights on a new, original series to rival Hallmark’s When Calls the Heart. The new series is dubbed County Rescue.

What is the new series about?

County Rescue is a new medical drama, where Dani (Julia Reilly) and other EMTs in training are everyday heroes. However, with only one job opening, and three paramedics in training, Dani finds her faith being tested on every call out. Meanwhile, she believes her calling is to save lives, but now she has to prove her ability. However, her competition is strong, including the fire chief’s son, and an over-qualified rookie.

The series stars Julia Reilly (Dani), Brett Varvel (Andy), Stacey Patino (Liz), Percy Bell (Duke), Tim-Perez-Ross (Scotty), Riley Hough (Tim), Keller Fornes (Griffin) and Kirstin Wollett (Ashley).

When will County Rescue premiere on Great American Family? 

The new, original series County Rescue enjoys its streaming premiere on Great American Pure Flix on Friday, February 23. This will be followed by the premiere on Great American Family on Monday, February 26 at 8 pm ET.

How many episodes in season 1 of County Rescue?

The first season of County Rescue has five episodes, as follows:

• Episode 2 – Fall By Myself – March 1
• Episode 3 – Holding Out for a Hero – March 8
• Episode 4 – Stuck Between a Hero and a Griffin – March 15
• Episode 5 – The Rescuer – March 22
