Great American Family Previews Christmas In July With New Premiere

As we edge closer to July, Great American Family has revealed a teaser for its Christmas in July programming event. A brand-new trailer reveals scenes from the network’s new movie, A Belgian Chocolate Christmas. The movie premieres as the programming event kicks off with 24/7 Christmas movies.

Christmas in July kicks off on Great American Family

Hallmark Channel may be the network that started the Christmas in July trend, but Great American Family has soon caught up with them, along with Lifetime and other channels. Meanwhile, the network has a full library of original Christmas movies since it started in competition with Hallmark.

It was when former Hallmark executive, Bill Abbott decided to start his own network that the Great American Christmas lineup started and it already has a number of films in stock. In order to celebrate this, Great American Family is bringing back some of their previous holiday movies for Christmas in July, along with new premieres to join the trend. Starting from June 30, viewers can binge Christmas right through to the end of July 2023.

A Belgian Chocolate Christmas on Great American Family

A teaser video released by the network shows us scenes from one of its new original movies, A Belgian Chocolate Christmas. A title like that will certainly draw the attention of chocaholics, with images of tasty chocolates revealed in the trailer.

Starring Jaclyn Hales and Zane Stephens, the plot of A Belgian Chocolate Christmas tells the story of a photographer. She takes her best friend’s place at a Belgian culinary school during the holidays and connects with the chocolatier leading the class. However, as their romance blooms, a problem arises, relating to a case of mistaken identity.

As recently reported, Great American Family has started production on a kind of sequel to the Hallmark movie, Christmas Waltz. Titled Paris Christmas Waltz, the movie is directed by Michael Damian (Young and the Restless), who directed the original film. Meanwhile, the movie features former Hallmark star Jen Lilley with Matthew Morrison (Glee).

The plot of the movie sees Emma (Lilley) relinquishing her job in Paris so a colleague with a family can keep his. While she plans her next steps in life, Emma meets a professional dancer, Leo (Morrison) who is losing his love for competitive dancing. However, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity comes up for Emma to join Leo and sweep all of Paris off its feet.

While Christmas in July is coming shortly, Great American Christmas will start on October 21 with new holiday movies each Saturday and Sunday. Meanwhile, the event will also offer 24/7 Christmas movies through the end of 2023.
