Great American Family Reveals 18 New Movies For Great American Christmas

As part of the Great American Christmas programming event, viewers have a choice of 18 new, original movies.

While we are currently enjoying the fall, this doesn’t mean that we have to wait for festive movies as part of the Great American Christmas. Great American Family has released the full list of new, original movies to be aired each weekend from Friday, October 21, 2022. Read on to find out more.

Great American Christmas on Great American Family

In the lead-up to the big event, Great American Family has unveiled a list of the 18 new, original movies to be aired as part of the holiday programming franchise. Each weekend from Friday, October 21 will see a brand new movie airing. Meanwhile, the event will see Christmas movies airing 24/7 through to the end of the year.

Moreover, the movies feature all the big stars of feel-good festive programming. These include Daniel Lissing, Jill Wagner, Merritt Patterson, Cameron Mathison, Danica McKellar, Jen Lilley, Neal Bledsoe and Cindy Busby. Meanwhile, Jessica Lowndes, Casey Elliott, Shae Robins and Jillian Murray also star.

New additions include Marc Blucas, Andrea Barber, Dan Payne, Jennifer Freeman, Garrett Watson, Joseph Cannata, Jesse Hutch, Candace Cameron Bure, Paul Greene and the legendary Gladys Knight. Get ready to grab the popcorn and hot chocolate ready for delightful festive programming.

Destined at Christmas

Premiere: Saturday, October 22 at 8 pm ET

Cast: Shae Robins and Casey Elliott

Plot: While participating in the Black Friday shopping craziness, Kim and Theo meet and there is a definite spark between them. However, when a power outage causes panic in the store, they get separated. Meanwhile, even though Christmas is coming, with loads of distractions, neither Kim nor Theo can forget each other. With so little information to go on, how can they find each other? It will take some Christmas magic and destiny to reunite the pair.

Catering Christmas

Plot: Molly Frost is a fledgling caterer, hired by Jean Harrison, the perfectionist director of the renowned Harrison Foundation, to cater this year’s annual Christmas Gala dinner. However, things get complicated after Molly falls for Jean’s nephew, Carson. In his thirties, he is a photographer with no desire to inherit the family’s foundation. That is until his aunt assigns him to the task of ensuring the catered dinner goes perfectly.

A Royal Christmas on Ice

Premiere: Saturday, November 5 at 8 pm ET

Cast: Anna Marie Dobbins and Jonathan Stoddard

Plot: A dashing prince is looking to escape from his royal life when he heads to the US to start a business in a small town in upstate New York, where he ends up falling in love with a former Olympic ice skater.

Premiere: Sunday, November 6 at 8 pm ET

Cast: Samantha Cope and Ross Jirgl

Plot: Angie’s favorite part of Christmas has been the Christmas Eve tree lighting in the town square for as long as she can remember. However, this Christmas is the first without her mom and Angie doesn’t feel much like celebrating. That is, until she finds out her mom had always dreamed of winning the annual tree decorating contest and seeing her tree light up the town square. Angie decides winning the contest and decorating the town’s tree would be the ideal way to honor her mom. However, what she doesn’t expect is that her high school sweetheart, David, and his adorable daughter Gabby to also enter the contest.

Plot: An advertising executive from New York City returns to her hometown to sell the family farm. However, instead, she reconnects with her childhood friend and gets involved with organizing the annual Winter Wonderland, which is held on the property.

My Best Friend’s Christmas

Premiere: Sunday, November 13, 8 pm ET

Cast: Breanne Hill and Colton Little

Plot: While returning home to find her ex in a relationship, a woman enlists her best friend to play the role of her fake boyfriend for the holidays.

Christmas At Pine Valley

Premiere: Saturday, November 19 at 8 pm ET

Cast: Kristina Cole and Andrew Biernat

Plot: Natalie owns a successful farm and home goods store that catches the attention of a major magazine. The magazine sends a reporter named Josh to profile Natalie’s company, believing it to be a family-run business. Little does he know that Natalie’s business is run by her with help from longtime family friends. Meanwhile, knowing how much the article could help her struggling farm, Natalie must convince Josh that her “family” and Christmas traditions are all real.

My Favorite Christmas Tree

Premiere: Sunday, November 20 at 8 pm ET

Cast: Emma Johnson and Giles Panton

Plot: Kyla, a skilled genealogy researcher, is making a thriving business of compiling family trees. However, when she discovers new information relating to her mother’s mysterious extended family, she and her sister head to the charming town of Conifer. Meanwhile, they hope to piece together their ancestry. However, her search leads Kyla to a generations-old Christmas tree farm and its stubborn, handsome owner, and potentially, love.

Christmas at the Drive-In

Christmas on Candy Cane Lane

Plot:  Ivy’s late mother, Muriel, was the darling of Icicle Falls and she struggles with the long shadow cast by her. The head of the Candy Cane Lane Lights Extravaganza, owner of The Christmas Haus, and a former TV star, is known adoringly as the Christmas Maven. However, this Christmas a series of comical and mysterious events bring the town together in a masterstroke of perfection only the Christmas Maven herself could appreciate. The movie is a Candy Rock Entertainment production.

B&B Merry (FKA Stay For Christmas)

Cast: Jen Lilley and Jesse Hutch

Plot: Tracey Moore is a renowned luxury travel blogger, invited to a Christmas-time getaway in exchange for a review of a small-town bed & breakfast. Despite her initial reservations, Tracey finds herself wanting to help the property. Meanwhile, she also falls in love with the owner’s handsome son, Graham, who helps her learn that every experience can be five-star when shared with kindred spirits.

Big Box Christmas (working title)

Premiere: Friday, December 9 at 8 pm ET

Cast: Jennifer Freeman and Garrett Watson

Plot: When a snowstorm strands two exes together in a superstore, with no cell service or Wi-Fi, shortly before Christmas, they finally reconnect.

A Prince for the Holidays (working title)

Premiere: Saturday, December 10 at 8 pm ET

Cast: Cindy Busby and Jilon VanOver

Plot: Madison is an aspiring musician who jokingly tells her overbearing family she is dating the price of a small European nation. However, that joke goes too far, when her friend and co-worker Sebastian is roped into impersonating the prince while visiting her family in New Jersey. Meanwhile, little does she know that Sebastian is actually hiding a royal secret.

A Belgian Chocolate Christmas

Premiere: Sunday, December 11 at 8 pm ET

Cast: Jaclyn Hales and Zane Stephens

Plot: At the holidays, a photographer takes her best friend’s place at a Belgian culinary school during the holidays. Meanwhile, when she connects with the chocolatier leading the class, a romance starts to bloom. However, the only problem is a case of mistaken identity.

A Brush with Christmas Romance (working title)

Premiere: Saturday, December 17 at 8 pm ET

Cast: Jillian Murray and Joseph Cannata

In the week leading up to the holidays, Charlotte tries to capture her own unique style in the local art scene, while helping her mother run the family restaurant. Meanwhile, she is disheartened and while struggling to find time for her art, she throws out her latest painting. However, she discovers that the painting has been anonymously submitted to the Christmas art festival. Meanwhile, Wyatt, a visiting artist, stumbled upon her discarded art. He is now using the festival’s exposure to find its mysterious creator, who has stolen his heart with her craft.

The Art of Christmas

Premiere: Sunday, December 18 at 8 pm ET

Cast: Brigitte Kingsley and Joe Towne

When her latest gallery exhibition goes up in flames, struggling artist Liv James takes a teaching job at a local elementary school to make ends meet. However, despite her reluctance about the career move, she soon discovers her true self, a new sense of purpose and a surprising romance.
