Great American Pure Flix reveals details of new, original movies and introduces its third original series of 2024 coming in May.

Among the popular stars are Alexa PenaVega, Carlos PenaVega, and Kristoffer Polaha on the faith and family streamer. Read on to learn more about what the feel-good network offers fans in May 2024.

Great American Pure Flix reveals original movies and a series

During May, Great American Pure Flix is premiering new content each Thursday at 8 pm. Meanwhile, families can also see the premieres of the platform’s third original series and movies.

Love’s Second Act

Starring Jodie Sweetin (Craft Me a Romance, Full House), Tilky Jones (Sister of the Bride and Shrinking, and George Wendt (Cheers and Christmas With the Campbells), Love’s Second Act, premieres are Thursday, May 9, 0n 8 pm ET/PT on Great American Pure Flix.

The movie’s plot sees Jamie (Sweetin) as a filmmaker who needs inspiration to finish her screenplay after a studio buys her pitch. She finds inspiration in Nick (Jones), who still works at the small-town movie theater where they first fell in love.

Run the Race

Run the Race stars Kristoffer Polaha, Frances Fisher, Mario Van Peebles, Eddie George, Tanner Stine and Evan Hofer.

The synopsis tells us that Tim Tebow, one of the greatest collegiate players of all time, and his brother Robby Tebow, are executive producers of their first movie, Run the Race. Meanwhile, the movie is set to premiere on Great American Pure Flix on Thursday, May 9.

According to the synopsis, Run the Race tells the story of two brothers (Stine, Hofer) who mourn the loss of their mother and deal with the failings of their alcoholic father (Polaha). Set against the backdrop of high school football and track, the brothers dream of collegiate scholarships to take their lives in a different direction.

Destination Heaven (original series)

Destination Heaven, starring Harry Lennix (How I Learned What I Learned) stars in a one-man show based on the theatrical memoir by legendary playwright one of the most important black voices in theater, August Wilson (The Blacklist) as God in a new, original series premiering on Thursday, May 16 at 9 pm ET/PT. Each new episode premieres on Thursdays.

Each is met face-to-face with God, who creates miraculous pathways to navigate each situation. Meanwhile, guest appearances through the series include Kevin Sorbo, Doug Jones, Cozi Zuehlsdorff, Carrie Wampler, John Michael Finley, and Hero Hunter.

Mr. Manhattan

This movie stars Carlos PenaVega (Spy Kids and Bit Time Rush) and Alexa PenaVega (Spy Kids an The Casagrandes Movie). The movie premieres on Thursday, May 23 at 8 pm ET/PT on Great American Pure Flix.

In the movie, Mason Bradley (Carlos PenaVega) makes a promise to his brother and sister-in-law to be the godfather to their newborn son and other children.

Meanwhile, Mason also has exciting news of his own. He has just been accepted to Columbia Law School. However, this comes as a shock to his fiancé, Dani (Alexa PenaVega)

Ten years on, Mason and Dani have broken up. He is now surrounded by big city life and is obsessed with becoming a partner in the firm.

Just as Mason feels personal success is at hand, he receives an unimaginable call. His brother and sister-in-law have tragically died in a car accident. Mason is now a single father with two children and no idea how much his life will change. Read more about the movie here
