On tonight’s When Hope Calls episode, a certain Constable was sticking around to interview a fashion investor personally. Constable Reynolds was on the hunt for Johnny Greene. Greene was a notorious coach thief.

He stole a lovely woman’s heirloom ring and Reynolds wanted to get it back to her, but he warned that Greene offloads his stolen goods quite fast. Michael didn’t think that they’d catch Greene in time to recover the ring.

Not that it seemed to matter to Reynolds. He promised to do everything in his power to get that ring back. He really likes Justine and he wanted to impress her. The ring was her grandmother’s wedding ring. And getting it back for her would mean the world.

Michael tended towards the pessimism on ever finding the ring. Though a lead managed to find its way to him. He was in Joe’s store when he saw Ben with a brand new watch.

Ben said he bought it in Clearwater from a street vendor. He said it was quite a deal. He only got it for two dollars.

Michael said it was more like a steal because that watch belonged to the other stagecoach victim Buck Caldwell.

His name was still imprinted inside of the watch. Greene was already selling things one town over while one of his co-conspirators was rotting in a jail cell.

Michael brought that up to their non-verbal friend. He refused to give his name. Or identify himself in any way. He hasn’t talked at all and so Michael felt he should be feeling resentful.

There was Greene already turning a profit. His friend will probably never see that money. He would be moved to prison soon. The time to talk was now.

Michael and Reynolds were chasing down the lead while Justine’s meeting with Hannah was going from bad to worse.

Hannah really wanted to make her fashion available for everyone. She just had one problem with doing so. Wyatt was sabotaging her.

When Wyatt wasn’t flirting with her model, he was demanding that she help out on the farm. Hannah has never been afraid of hard work.

She just didn’t need to be guilted into it when he knew how important her meeting with an investor was. He also disappeared in the middle of the day.

He moved things around that the other rancher couldn’t reach them. Wyatt found a way to sabotage that meeting from start to finish. Justine decided to meet with Hannah as the first time being an investor on her own. She was representing her family’s business by coming out there.

Justine said she wanted her first solo investment to have the same commitment as she does. She told this to Reynolds by the way. Not to Hannah. She met with Hannah with an open mind and there was no reward in doing so.

Hannah was off to a bad start by turning her away on that first day. She was late to the redo. She then essentially ran her uncle’s ranch because everyone acted like they couldn’t function without her or Wyatt there.

It was Hannah who stay focused on other things and she proved she wasn’t what Justine was looking for.

It was bad news for her. Only there was some good news in town. Debbie started selling sandwiches. She baked the bread herself and it gave the sandwiches that added touch that the drove the whole town crazy.

Everyone was going to her place for lunch rather than to the hotel. Sam and Ronnie noticed that no one was in their dining room.

They tried to do some research. They sent Delores to get sandwiches. Debbie figured out she was a spy. She personally walked over the two sandwiches to the guys and they loved it.

The homemade bread was something they couldn’t replicate. They knew it too. They were trying to figure out a way to let Debbie be Debbie and not go out of business when Wyatt learned the error of his ways.

He talked to Justine. He didn’t want Hannah to go to New York or leave the ranch, but he also didn’t want to crush her dream entirely. He wasn’t that bad.

He later spoke to Justine. He convinced her to give Hannah another chance and now the deal was back on. Hannah’s dream was saved. And she was going to try to be better at balancing the ranch with her fashion designing.

Justine even got better news when Reynolds returned her ring soon afterwards. He kept his word. Let’s see if she’ll keep hers about returning to New York.

Ronnie was also stayed at Joe’s now that he was no longer living at the hotel. He was driving Joe up the wall. It’s just that Joe couldn’t ask for things to go back because Sam was having the best sleep in his life.

He got used to sleeping rough as a gold miner. Him sleeping better was how he made a deal with Debbie. She would sell her bread through the hotel’s restaurant. It filled up their lunch room again. And Debbie didn’t miss out.

And Michael returned to find Nora having fun playing baseball with Reverend Joshua Daniels. He was a good man.

He was good with kids. He was patient and has a deep faith. It made Michael feel like there was no room for him at the picnic.

THE END!
