Candace Cameron Bure recently took to Instagram to promote her latest Hallmark movie, Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Honeymoon, Honeymurder. The film is set to debut on the Hallmark Channel on Sunday, August 22. However, Candace recently told her fans that she feels it is “weird” to promote the new movie amid the current “heaviness” in the world.
Candace Cameron Bure News – And Her New Hallmark movie
Currently, the world is still going through a pandemic, leading to difficult times for many people across the globe. On top of this, there is shocking news from Afghanistan and Haiti. Hallmark actress, Candace Cameron Bure, 45, realizes that people around the world have bigger things to worry about right now than her new, upcoming movie.
On August 17, the Fuller House alum made several posts to Instagram to promote her latest film, Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Honeymoon, Honeymurder, which premieres on the Hallmark Channel on August 22.
However, at around the same time, Candace posted footage to her Instagram Story. There, she explained that she feels conflicted about promoting a movie while there is so much suffering happening in the world. In her video, she spoke of the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan, the earthquake in Haiti, as well as the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.
Candace Cameron Bure News – And ‘Heaviness’ On Her Heart
In the clip, she shared that she was popping on in person because there is so much heaviness on her heart with everything that is going on in Afghanistan and Haiti. She also mentioned the vaccine, and all the division and hate, saying she is praying and her heart is heavy.
“And at the same time, I have a job, and I have a movie coming out on Sunday, and I know this sounds like an awkward transition, but you’re gonna [sic] see my feed all full of promotional stuff,” she added.
Candace continued, saying she just wanted to come onto Instagram to say it is just weird, because we all have to work and do our job, and this is part of her job. However, at the same time, she said it feels odd to promote the film with “such heaviness in the world.” Bure added that she is not unaware of how “insensitive or awkward” it may look at times, to be talking about a movie or clothing.
Candace continued by explaining that she would typically like her Instagram feed to always be a happy place that fans can come to and get a break from the world. However, she just wants to say it feels weird.
Candace Cameron Bure News – Hallmark Actress And Emotions
This isn’t the first time Candace has been open about her feelings, displaying an array of emotions when she has a new project coming up. During a podcast interview in March, she admitted that she “got sick to my stomach” about the 2020 film If I Only Had Christmas, due to her own fear that one of her films might eventually drop in the ratings.
As noted by E! Online, “Every year, it kind of makes me sicker and sicker every time I have a movie to come out because I’m like, is this going to be the year? Is this it?”
Candace’s new film, Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Honeymoon, Honeymurder premieres on the Hallmark Channel on Sunday, August 22.
