Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President of Programming confirmed Chesapeake Shores season 5 is really happening. In an official statement at the time of the renewal, she said,

“We are thrilled to bring back Chesapeake Shores for a long-awaited fifth season with Phoef Sutton’s brilliant voice leading this new chapter for the O’Brien family.”

The series is based on the bestselling books by author Sheryl Woods. The story follows three generations of the O’Brien women. The story began when Abby, suddenly a single mother and recently divorced, moved back home. We have been addicted to the characters and storylines ever since.

Chesapeake Shores season 5 spoilers confirm that Jesse Metcalfe is leaving the show. He plays Trace Riley, Abby’s on-and-off love interest. With Metcalfe making his exit, there will probably be a new love interest for Abby. It is confirmed that Robert Buckley is joining the show as Evan McKenzie. “As for Robert Buckley joining the cast, he has been part of the Hallmark family for years, most recently he starred in and produced The Christmas House, and I know that the show’s fans will thoroughly embrace him in this new role.”

It was also hinted that Evan, a young entrepreneur, will bring a new development project into town, according to Deadline.
