Chris McNally Of When Calls The Heart To Star In Grease: Rise Of The Pink Ladies

While Chris McNally is a series regular on the Hallmark series, When Calls the Heart, it seems he is also getting pretty busy elsewhere. The actor has grabbed recurring roles in two series, one of which is the upcoming Grease prequel, Rise of the Pink Ladies. In this series, he plays the role of a gaslighting teacher. Meanwhile, he will also star in the Netflix series, Firefly Lane, alongside Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke.

Set in 1954, four years before the original Grease, Rise of the Pink Ladies follows four school outcasts who dare to have fun on their own terms. However, in the process, they spark a panic that will change their high school forever.

Deadline reports that McNally will play the role of Mr. Daniels, a well-liked young teacher. However, it turns out things might not be exactly what they seem with the teacher. In fact, it turns out he is a bad guy, who comes on to a 16-year-old student and then gaslights her into thinking he didn’t.

Besides Chris, other cast members include Marisa Davila stars as Jane, Ari Notartomaso plays Cynthia and Cheyenne Isabel Wells is Olivia. Meanwhile, Tricia Fukuhara is in the role of Nancy, Madison Thompson plays Susan, Shanel Bailey is in the role of Hazel and Johnathan Nieves plays Richie. Other cast members include Maxwell Whittington-Cooper as Wally, Jason Schmidt as Buddy and Jackie Hoffman as Assistant Principal McGee.

So far, there is no firm premiere date, but principal photography is reportedly already underway.

Chris McNally In Firefly Lane, Season 2

In his second new role, McNally will be starring alongside Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke in season 2 of Firefly Lane, coincidentally as yet another teacher. He is set to play Mr. Waverley, a charismatic new teacher who pushes Kate and Tully and inspires them to reach for new heights.

Again, no premiere date has been announced for season 2 of Firefly Lane, but it is expected to drop somewhere around summer or fall this year.
