The Perfect Setting is an unexpected romance on Hallmark Channel

Filmed on set in beautiful Antwerp, Belgium, The Perfect Setting stars Laci J. Mailey and David Elsendoorn. According to the official synopsis, Abby (Mailey) is an American who works in a luxury jewelry store doing repairs, and keeps getting looked over for her true passion – jewelry design.

Feeling defeated, Abby takes a two-week trip to her ancestral home, Antwerp, Belgium. Here, she visits her recently widowed grandfather and the quaint family shop where she developed her craft. However, on arriving, Abby discovers that her grandfather has been struggling to keep the shop afloat. He is fending off stiff competition from a more modern, local family business, Remy & Sons.

By chance, her visit coincides with the famed Antwerp Diamond Festival, a contest that would offer enough prize money to set things right. Abby is resolved to help her grandfather and enters the contest, finding herself competing against Alexander Remy (Elsendoorn), whose family has won the contest in several past years. However, when Alexander turns out to be surprisingly supportive of Abby’s work, she starts to wonder where her heart truly belongs.

Laci J Mailey, who plays Abby is known for her roles in Chesapeake Shores and Betty’s Bad Luck in Love. She leads opposite David Elsendoorn as Alexander, who has previously starred in Ted Lasso and King of the Skies. Meanwhile, Hans Royaards plays the role of Laurent and has been seen in Love Blossoms and Crimi Clowns, while Brian Froud, who plays Jules Peeters, has credits for his roles in Total Drama. And ToonMarty.

Gloria Bae, in the role of a Store employee / Gala patron, is known for her roles in Never Too Late to Celebrate and My Husband’s Killer Affair. Moreover, Xavier Baeyens, who plays a security guard, has previously been seen in Blood and Bones and Mutti and Justin Hay, who plays Hugo, has previously been seen in The Program Audio Series and Waiting to Run. Jinesea Lewis is in a currently uncredited role and has previously starred in Sisaundra Lewis with Antinese Stinson/Brandon J/Amaya.
