Exciting News Of Hallmark Mystery Movie Series Aurora Teagarden

Sleuthers love the Aurora Teagarden mystery movie series on Hallmark and were heartbroken when Candace Cameron Bure jumped ship to Great American Family.

However, last year Hallmark rebooted the series, debuting a prequel movie series starring Skyler Samuels, Marilu Henner and Evan Roderick. Aurora Teagarden: Something New was a hit with sleuthers and now there is more news from Hallmark Mystery about the popular movies.

Hallmark Mystery and Aurora Teagarden

While there is no official news from Hallmark Mystery, some clues have been revealed about the future of Aurora Teagarden.

As revealed by In Production, an industry site that releases all current productions, the feel-good network will soon be filming two new Young Aurora Teagarden Mysteries. The working titles were marked 2 and 3, as noted on the site, “Block shooting with Young Aurora 2.”

According to In Production, the filming schedule is 3/4/2024 – 04/01/2024 and both mystery movies will be directed by Jessica Harmon, who directed Aurora Teagarden: Something New.

However, so far, there is no news as to casting, but we assume that Skyler Samuels, Marilu Henner and Evan Roderick will reprise their roles as Aurora, Aida and Arthur.

More Aurora Teagarden in our future?

Meanwhile, on the Hallmark Mysteries & More podcast, producer Mike Burbuto revealed there was a hint there could be more movies in the mystery franchise. Now, with the latest news, it looks even more hopeful.

While Hallmark has yet to make an announcement it does certainly sound like we can expect two more Aurora Teagarden movies. However, as sleuthers know, things can change at any moment, so we will have to wait for an official announcement from Hallmark Mystery.

About Bure leaving the network

Moreover, fans will recall that after Candace Cameron Bure jumped ship to Great American Family, it looked like the mystery movie series was over. However, sleuthers were thrilled to hear an announcement of a spin-off prequel of the show in March 2023.

At the time, Entertainment Weekly reported that Hallmark was “reviving” the series without Bure and focusing on a “Young, post-college Aurora, who finds herself returning to Lawrenceton.”

As mentioned, Hallmark Mystery has made no mention of the new Aurora Teagarden Mysteries so far. However, as filming will be complete in early April, it is likely the first movie could debut at some stage after May.
