Former Home & Family Stars Co-Hosting New GAC Special

The holidays are ripe for some family reunions, so what better time than to see former Home & Family co-hosts Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison star in a GAC Family Channel special, Welcome To Great American Christmas. This will premiere on Sunday, October 24.

When former CEO Bill Abbott left Hallmark, he appeared to bring along his little black book of contacts. Now with his new GAC Media, he is launching a cornucopia of projects that have some familiar faces.

This includes the former Hallmark Home & Family co-hosts, Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison. What is this dynamic duo doing for the new network? According to the GAC Media Instagram page, they are hosting Welcome To Great American Christmas.

In this special, the hosts will preview the upcoming GAC original movies. In addition, some of those very stars and celebrity guests will share in some Christmas crafting and cooking!

Just a few days ago, Debbie Matenopoulos went on her Instagram to share the big news. “We’re Baaacccckkk!!!! 😜 I am so excited to be joining my co-host and friend @cameronmathisononce again for what I promise will be your NEW destination for all things Christmas and SO much more @gactv@gacliving. Make sure to join us on October 24th for your first little taste of what’s to come. And then catch Cam with the lovely and talented @jenniegarth on November 20th in “A Kindhearted Christmas.” Just one of the many original Christmas movies that will be airing through the holiday season.  GAC Family Channel Spoilers – GAC Launching Original Movies With Familiar Hallmark Faces

For example, Jen Lilley is starring in a GAC Christmas movie, Royally Wrapped For Christmas. In addition, Michael Damian wrote and directed Much Ado About Christmas. This was a holiday movie that was in development at Hallmark when Abbott was still there. Now it will air on the new network on Saturday, October 30.

In addition, Chad Michael Murray and Jessica Lowndes are starring together again. They are in the very first GAC movie, called An Autumn Romance. This fall movie will premiere on Saturday, October 23.

Don’t forget Cameron Mathison’s movie with Jennie Garth. This is called A Kindhearted Christmas and it will premiere on Saturday November 20.

 GAC Family Channel – What Is GAC?

Hallmark fans want to know what GAC is in the first place. The network officially launches on September 27, 2021.

Former Hallmark CEO Bill Abbott and his team of investors purchased two networks. The first is Great American Country. The second, Ride TV.

The former channel was turned into GAC Family. This is the platform where the new network will show all of these great original movies. Right now, they have given a glimpse into the upcoming movies through 2021.

However, it is expected that they will follow Hallmark’s lead and create original content based on themes, such as weddings, seasons, or holidays.

As for the former Ride TV, this is now called GAC Living. This channel will no longer feature equestrian-related activities, but instead, family and lifestyle activities.

Will Debbie and Cameron be part of that second network? That remains to be seen. Although Debbie is currently not attached to another show, Cameron is now on General Hospital. But, he seems to get blocks of time off to do things like film a Christmas movie. He could certainly be part of some original programming on GAC Living.
