General Hospital Alum Cynthia Preston Shares Backstage Photos From New Hallmark Film

Also known as Faith Roscoe on “General Hospital,” Cynthia Preston is keeping herself busy after leaving the show back in 2005. The Canadian actress has joined the cast of new Hallmark movie, “Crossword Mysteries: Abracadaver.” She shared some backstage photos on her Instagram page.

Preston works with “All My Children” alum Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott as well as Barbara Niven from “One Life To Live.” It’s not Preston’s first time to work with Niven. The two appeared together on “Dead at 17” back in 2008.

In the movie, Preston takes on the role of Julia Marquez. The upcoming mystery movie has just gone into production and the details regarding the plot are still being kept under wraps.

General Hospital News – The Third Movie In Crossword Mysteries Series

But it has been revealed that “Abracadaver” is the third movie for Hallmark’s “Crossword Mysteries” series. The first one is “A Puzzle to Die For,” which is scheduled to air in September 11 at 9 p.m. EST on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

Preston’s other acting credits include “Whale Music,” “Pin,” “The Thin Blue Lie,” and “If Looks Could Kill – Teen Agent.”

Preston was introduced as Faith Rosco on “General Hospital,” back in 2002. She worked alongside Ned Ashton (Wally Kurth) to take down her rival mobster Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Ned ended their partnership. Faith winded up with Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst). But when the latter decided to part ways, Faith didn’t want to let him go.

Even though Ric turned her advances down, Faith continued to pursue him. When she discovered that Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) was carrying his child, she tricked her into a supposed meeting with Sonny. She then pushed Elizabeth down the stairs, which led to a miscarriage.

Faith was a villain on GH. She tried to poison Liz and even almost went to prison. She teamed up with Lorenzo Alcazar (Ted King) to bring Sonny down and then became involved with Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and Skye Quartermaine (Robin Christopher). Faith also planned to blow up the yacht she was on to frame Jason and Sonny.

She was stabbed while in jail and tried to escape prison. Faith finally met her end in 2005 when A.J. Quartermine’s hired assassin killed her.
