Good Witch Spoilers: Catherine Bell Teases New Season 6 Storylines, And Who Is Joy?

Good Witch Season 6 spoilers show Catherine Bell and James Denton share with Extra TV what fans can expect in the upcoming season of their Hallmark hit series “The Good Witch.” The two stars share their gratitude as they’re going into the sixth season which Bell loving dubs as ‘the little show that could.’

They go on to tease that Cassie and Sam are still in their honeymoon phase while also officially being empty nesters now that Grace (following Bailee Madison’s departure) and Nick have gone off to college. The happy couple is experiencing a new phase in their lives as they celebrate one year being married and adjusting to life as a couple without children in the house.

Following the departure of Madison, the tone of the series has shifted now that the younger characters have gone off to college which Denton hints gives “Good Witch” more of a mystery focus while no longer incorporating high school stories. The first five seasons weaved through the various relationships as well as following the parent-child relationship with fans watching Nick and Grace struggling through teen hardships and coming of age journeys.

The main storyline for the season will focus on a mysterious newcomer that arrives at Grey House. Katherine Barrell will make her first appearance in the sixth season premiere as Joy Harper who has a set goal in mind as she settles into Middleton. She makes a play for a job under Mayor Martha Tisdale that would have her working on the renovation of Martha’s new mansion. EP Darin Goldberg spoke with TV Insider about Joy’s true motives with the tease that while she’s looking for a job she also has another agenda which involves looking into the Merriwicks.

Good Witch Season 6 Spoilers – Who Is Joy?

Bell teases that while Joy isn’t immediately trusted by everyone in Middleton, Cassie has this gift of knowing people’s intentions which the actor teases in a rather coy manner. The actor continues that Joy has an interesting history and does have a connection to the people and to the town which will be revealed throughout the season.

The season will premiere on May 3 with the episode “The Anniversary.” The episode will also find Martha in a bidding war with Donovan’s mother over a former Davenport mansion while Stephanie and her partner have a disagreement over the food truck. Elsewhere, Abigail and Donovan experience misfortunes that help them uncover more about the curse inflicting their families.
