Great American Family Channel – Rolls Out Christmas Movie Schedule

Bring out the Christmas tree ornaments and get ready to deck the halls with boughs of holly. Because new Christmas movies will begin airing soon on the Great American Family channel. And former Hallmark Media CEO Bill Abbott hopes that his company can challenge Hallmark’s niche in airing new Christmas movies each year, noted Yahoo.

2022 marks a turning point for Great American Family. Because the new company started last June, the network needed time to publicize the channel. As a result, its Christmas films got overlooked.

But the company hopes that using Hallmark Channel’s formula for debuting new holiday movies each weekend will work to make this year the one where its audience makes the switch. And the Great American Family channel has developed an impressive line-up of stars who left Hallmark. For instance, Candace Cameron Bure inked a contract to develop, produce, and star in movies for the new network. 

Hallmark Alums Star In New Great American Family Christmas Movies

Fan favorites for the Great American Family Christmas movies this year include Jill Wagner and Cameron Mathison. Both Hallmark alums will star in a Merry Christmas Wish. Airing on Saturday, November 12,  the movie follows a New York City advertising executive who returns to her hometown to sell her family’s farm. But when she reconnects with a friend from childhood, her life takes a twist when she takes charge of the annual Winter Wonderland.

And another Hallmark alum, fan favorite Danica McKeller, will star in Christmas at the Drive-In on Friday, November 25 at 8 p.m. ET. Co-starring with Neal Bledsoe, Danica will portray a property lawyer. But can the attorney save her town’s drive-in theater? Romance comes amid dealing with the person who wants to sell the property.

Candace Cameron Bure stars in Candace Cameron Bure Presents: A Christmas…Present on Sunday, November 27 at 8 p.m. ET. Co-starring with Marc Blucas, Candace portrays a busy mom of teenagers. But everyone in the family seems to want something different in the perfect Christmas. However, miracles happen over the holidays. And Maggie discovers what it means to truly celebrate Christmas.
