Hallmark Channel News – Star Jodie Sweetin And Bob Saget
Jodie Sweetin played the role of Stephanie Tanner in the popular sitcom Full House, alongside Bob Saget. In fact, she first met him at the age of five. The actress opened up on Good Morning America this week about the loss of the beloved actor. Sweetin said it has been a rough couple of weeks as it was such a shock.
“It happened so suddenly and to lose someone who was such a wonderful, big, shining personality like that in all of our lives, it’s been a lot,” Jodie said.
The Hallmark star said she knows Bob would love nothing more than the fact that everybody has been talking about him. She said, “He would be thrilled to know everyone was thinking about him.”
Never missing the chance to say ‘I love you’
Jodie was asked about the fact that she never missed a chance to say “I love you” with Bob, sharing the last time they said those words to each other.
“We have a ‘Full House’ family group chat that goes back and forth and it’s missing a lot without Bob in it now.”
Sweetin recalled the last individual texting between herself and Saget when he did an episode of her podcast. She said they were talking about the episode and she said to him, “Thanks so much, love you.” Bob’s response was “Love you too. Anything for you, Jodes, always.”
Joie went on to say this is just how Bob was all the time. They always ended a phone conversation with the words, “I love you,” and he would always say, “I love you more.” According to Sweetin, Saget always had to have the last word.
Hallmark Channel News – What The Hallmark and Full House Star Learned From Bob Saget
Jodie was asked what she learned from Saget and said, “One of the things that I learned from Bob and even now in having to walk through his death is how to laugh through some of the most painful moments of your life,” she said. She added that she now passes that wisdom down to her kids.
According to Sweetin, this has been something that has carried her through so many times in her life. She said Bob had plenty of loss and grief in his own life, after his sister and parents passed, but he never stopped laughing. In fact, Jodie said, “He never lost the ability to laugh at himself, laugh at his situation, make fun of something that would otherwise feel like it was going to break you.”
Jodie added that she definitely does that now, whether it’s appropriate or not. She makes jokes about things, just like Bob did. She added, “He’d joke about something and you’d be like, ‘OMG I can’t believe you just said that’… at the same time you’d be like, ‘I’m so glad somebody said it.’”

As reported by Hollywood Reporter, Bob Saget, 65, passed away on January 9 in a Florida hotel room at the Ritz Carlton in Orlando. The comedian had performed the night before as part of his stand-up tour.
On Wednesday this week, the Saget family opened up about the cause of his death. According to the medical examiner’s office, the Full House star died from head trauma and a brain bleed.
