Hallmark Channel Announces New Rodeo Family Drama Series Ride

Exciting news from Hallmark Channel, as viewers will soon get to watch a primetime drama series, Ride, following a rodeo dynasty.
Hallmark Channel has greenlit Ride, a new series about a rodeo dynasty under the title Ride. Set to premiere in 2023, the primetime show is described as a multigenerational family drama that follows the lives of the Murray family, as they struggle to keep their beloved ranch going. The official synopsis for Ride is as follows:
“After a tragic loss, each character embarks on an empowering journey of transformation and self-discovery while also uncovering a twisted web of secrets, threatening to tear the family and their small Colorado town apart at the seams.
Emotions run high and clashes are common in the complicated Murray clan, but they are a tight-knit group who don’t give up easily. And the three strong women of the family – widowed rodeo queen Missy, matriarch Isabel, and former teen run-away Valeria – resolve to stand strong against all challenges and save their land, come what may.”

As noted by TV Insider, production on the new series will begin this summer in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Meanwhile, the series is co-produced by Endeavor-backed Blink49 Studios and Seven24 Films, in partnership with Bell Media for CTV Drama Channel in Canada.
Moreover, Ride is based on the original script by the husband and wife writing team, Rebecca Boss and Chris Masi. Boss and Masi, along with Sherri Cooper-Landsman, are also showrunners and executive producers.
Lisa Hamilton Daly, Executive Vice President, Development, Crown Media Family Networks, made a statement about the exciting new drama series. She wrote that Hallmark continues to grow its slate of “heartfelt and thought-provoking series.” Moreover, Daly mentioned the creative team behind some of their favorite shows, including the producing team at Blink49 and executive producers Greg Gugliotta and Josh Adler.
Meanwhile, Laurie Ferneau, Senior Vice President, Development, Crown Media Family Networks said they were “immediately hooked by the story of the resilient Murray women.” She added that they couldn’t be more excited to work with the “incredible team at Blink49 to bring their engrossing story to viewers.”
Moreover, Carolyn Newman, Executive Vice President, Global Scripted and Virginia Rankin, Executive producers from Blink49 Studios made a statement. Newman told Hallmark fans to “get ready to be swept up in the epic romance of Ride.”
“Rebecca Boss, Chris Masi and Sherri Cooper-Landsman are creating a truly juicy family saga set against the backdrop of the west.”
