Hallmark Channel Filming Ghost Of Christmas Always In Connecticut

We haven’t even celebrated Easter yet, but already Hallmark Channel is planning ahead for its Countdown to Christmas 2022. Filming of The Ghost of Christmas Always was recently ongoing in West Hartford, Connecticut. What do we know about the new original Christmas movie? Read on to find out.

Hallmark Channel – Movie Ghost Of Christmas Always

CT Insider recently reported that a scene of the Hallmark movie Ghost of Christmas Always was filmed in the streets of West Hartford on March 1, 2022. A spokesperson for West Hartford, Renée McCue said that the scene was filmed at 34 Foxcroft Road in the city.

While Hallmark Channel has yet to release details, McCue opened up a little about the movie, while giving a synopsis. It seems the film offers a new take on the classic, A Christmas Carol. The story surrounds Katherine Marley, a ghost “spending her afterlife working for the Department of Restoring Christmas Spirit.” Meanwhile, her job title is Ghost of Christmas Present.

Marley is gainfully employed to visit Earth every Christmas to help a soul rekindle its love of Christmas. However, when she is assigned a man named Peter, she cannot figure out why his Christmas spirit needs help. Meanwhile, what Marley does find out is that she and Peter “just might be fated for each other.”

Hallmark Channel – Filming locations For The Hallmark movie

According to McCue, the majority of the scene was filmed at the Bushnell Park carousel in Hartford. However, this isn’t the first time Connecticut has starred as a filming location for Hallmark. There have reportedly been many movies filmed in the state during the past year.

Hallmark fans might remember the Christmas film A Holiday in Harlem that aired during November in the channel’s Countdown to Christmas 2021. That movie was filmed in Connecticut, along with Next Stop, Christmas and Sugar Plum Twist which also formed part of the Countdown to Christmas programming event.

Judging by the synopsis, the movie will be intriguing, charming and, being Hallmark Channel, romantic. So far, no news is out as to the cast of the movie. However, sharp-eyed readers might be able to spot a famous face in the image tweeted by CT Insider and included below.
