Plot Of Heart Of The Matter

Looking at Hallmark’s synopsis, the movie features Andie Hodges, an accomplished young cardiologist. Andie always has a great passion for the patients she treats and prides herself on giving them the best of care.

However, following the accidental death of Henry, a young patient with an intellectual disability, Andie is left shaken. In fact, she begins to doubt her ability as a doctor. Meanwhile, as the cardiologist grapples with this tragic loss, she faces a confrontation with Henry’s mother Gladys. This leads to her despair and causes her to further question her professional future.

Moreover, with a malpractice lawsuit looming, along with possible sanctions from the medical review board, Andie also starts to rethink her loving relationship with Patrick. Meanwhile, he has been nothing but understanding and supportive of her. However, as Andie and Henry’s mother learn to overcome their grief through forgiveness, they find out that acceptance leads to hope.

Henry is played by Chandler Massey (Days of Our Lives, Next Stop, Christmas). Andie’s love interest, Patrick is played by Andrew Zachar (Virgin River, Eight Gifts of Hanukkah).
