Plot of Crossword Mysteries: Abracadaver

According to the official website for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, this installment is about a well-known magician who literally drops dead right smack in the middle of a dangerous act on stage. The audience was packed, but it turns out it’s not an accidental or natural death. It is ruled as a murder. This is when Tess Harper (Lacey Chabert), the New York Sentinel Crosswords editor gets involved. Tess, along with NYPD detective Logan O’Connor (Brennan Elliott) join forces to learn who killed the magician. Together, they work to solve the mystery, which includes “not-so-obvious clues.”

Crossword Mysteries: Abracadaver also stars Barbara Niven as Aunt Candace and John Kapelos portrays Chief Chauncey O’Connor.

In a video posted to the network’s official website, Tess and Logan attend a magic show. Suddenly, things get strange and shocking when the magician collapses. That is when the question is asked, “did she just shoot him?” However, was it part of the magic act or is something more sinister going on? Abracadaver is the third installment in the Crossword Mysteries series. The first one was called A Puzzle To Die For. After that, Hallmark Channel released Proposing Murder. Chabert is a favorite actor with the Hallmark Channel and fans are sure to be excited to see her in another installment.
