The “When Calls The Heart: Home For Christmas” Christmas Special Will Air On Christmas Day

General Hospital alumni Jack Wagner, who formerly played Frisco Jones on the ABC soap, and also Nick Marone on CBS’s The Bold And The Beautiful, will appear in the fifth annual “When Calls The Heart” Christmas special. The special will air at 8:00 PM EST on December 25 and is called “When Calls The Heart” Home For Christmas.

Jack plays Bill Avery. In this year’s special, the holiday season will have some challenges for Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow). She is excited to be spending her first Christmas with her son, Little Jack (Lincoln and Gunnar Taylor) and also his first birthday on Christmas Eve. However, she really misses her husband, Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing) who was killed in the season five finale. But she will try to create the first Christmas for their son that is as special as the ones that she remembers as a child growing up.

Two Newcomers Arrive In Hope Valley

Two newcomers arrive in Hope Valley in time for Christmas: Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally) and Constable Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry). Lucas is the owner of the new saloon in town, and have made life in Hope Valley much more complicated with their squabbling. They are making life more complicated for Elizabeth as well, making their attraction to her increasingly clear.

However, Nathan’s niece Allie (Jaeda Lily Miller) draws both Nathan and Elizabeth into a crisis when he’s faced with a decision that will change his whole life. Lucas will try to brighten the spirits of Hope Valley residents for Christmas as he transforms Main Street into a magical German Christmas Festival, brightening not only the residents’ spirits but the spirit of the whole town itself! Rosemary Coulter (Pascale Hutton) and Leland Coulter (Kavan Smith) are there for emotional support for Elizabeth and little Jack, and become obsessed with a challenge; to find the perfect first Christmas present for the baby!

Bill, however, already knows what he intends to give his godson for Christmas, but then he misplaces the gift and he spends many anxious hours trying to locate it! More Christmas confusion ensues when Carson Shepherd (Paul Greene) and Nurse Faith Carter (Andrea Brooks) exchange crossed signals instead of Christmas gifts as they spend their first Christmas together as a couple. She had intended to surprise him, but they both wound up on the same train, spoiling their Christmas surprise for each other! His own journey home is fraught with misadventures!
