Hallmark Channel News: Jocelyn Hudon Dishes On ‘When Calls the Heart’ Spin-off

‘When Hope Calls’ spoilers are emerging as the ‘When Calls the Heat’ spin-off’s premiere on Friday, August 30, 2019 approaches. Jocelyn Hudon (Grace) is as excited as Hearties awaiting the first Hallmark Movies NOW original series.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, a smiling Jocelyn answered questions about ‘WHC,’ and Hearties enthusiasm about the spin-off. Asked how exciting it is to be part of something that will ‘blow up the streaming world,’ Jocelyn Hudon replied, “It’s very exciting. It’s a little nerve-wracking to be the first show for their [Hallmark Channel] streaming network [Hallmark Movies Now]. I really do hope we do everyone proud, and that the [‘When Calls the Heart’] fans really love it.”

Fielding a question about the biggest difference between ‘WCTH’ and ‘WHC,’ the actress replied, “I think we bring a little bit more humor to the show.” Another difference fans will notice is that the cast of the new period piece drama is younger than the cast of ‘When Calls the Heart.’

Previous ‘When Hope Calls’ spoilers revealed a bit about Jocelyn’s character. Grace is described as joyful, warm, and optimistic. Orphaned at separated from her sister Lillian (Morgan Kohan), Grace has been reunited with Lillian.

The sisters strive to care for the children left in their care at the orphanage. The young woman try to balance family and romance in Hope Valley as well.

Hearties were first introduced to Grace and Lillian during the ‘WCTH’ 2018 ‘When Calls the Heart: The Greatest Christmas Blessing.” Expect to see some familiar faces In Hope Valley. Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) and Rosemary Coulter (Pascale Hutton) will visit the small Western pioneer town.

‘WCTH’ fans can get a first look at the new series during the Hallmark Channel’s presentation of the ‘When Hope Calls’ Preview Special airing on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT.

Episodes one and two premiere on Hallmark Movies NOW the subscription-based streaming service Friday, August 30, 2019. New episodes will be available every Friday through October 25, 2019.
