Book Released: Clanlands

According to Parade, the book Clanlands was released on November 3, 2020. It is written by Sam and his Outlander co-star, Graham McTavish. The publication reported that the book is about “the majesty and mysteries of Scotland.” It is also teased that the book includes a campervan that has seen better days and plenty of whiskey.

The authors wrote about their adventures while they traveled to Scotland with crazy boat rides, wild kayaking, bicycle trips, and getting on motorbikes.

Starz Series: Men In Kilts

The road trip was organized to film the upcoming series on Starz, Men in Kilts. Sam and Graham documented their adventures on Google Docs for the Clanlands companion book. To start off their road trip, the Outlander star scheduled them to have a whiskey tasting at 9 in the morning. Sam told the media outlet,

“Actually, in a way – excuse the pun – it is in the spirit of the whole TV show. We were having fun and whiskey is synonymous with Scotland and our culture.”

Sam says what he really wants is for fans to understand and feel his passion for Scotland. He’s lived in London for the past 12 years, but going back to his home country has made him realize everything Scotland has to offer.

It was also confirmed that Sam was in a Hallmark Christmas movie before he snagged his Outlander role. It’s called A Princess For Christmas and stars Katie McGrath and Sir Roger Moore. It’s about a woman who becomes the guardian of her nephew and niece. He said,

“I think I am a better actor now, but I love that movie.I got to work with Roger Moore. He is one of the most famous Bonds and it was incredible. All of those jobs are the precursor to what I am doing now. I met great people.”

A Princess For Christmas airs on the Hallmark Channel on December 4, December 11, December 15, and December 24.
