Hallmark Channel News: Summer Extravaganza Brings Love and Romance To Saturday Nights

The Hallmark Channel has unveiled its Annual Summer Nights Original Movies line-up. Viewers are promised all-new original movies celebrating “the sun-drenched days of leisure and love” on Saturday nights.

Pour some lemonade or iced tea, make a big bowl of popcorn, put your feet up and enjoy the romance brought to you courtesy of the Hallmark Channel. All movies begin at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Saturday nights.

If you missed the first movie in the Annual Summer Nights extravaganza, ‘Love in Rome,’ check the Hallmark Channel for other showtimes. The movie will re-air on Tuesday, July 30 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, as well as other dates.

The second Hallmark Channel original movie makes its world premiere on Saturday, August 3. ‘A Taste of Summer’ stars Roselyn Sanchez and Eric Winter as competing restaurateurs.

Opening night of Gabby’s restaurant is ruined by a wing promotion at Caleb’s popular neighborhood eatery.

Gabby decides to enter the ‘Taste of Summer’ cooking competition with hopes of winning $10,00 and excellent reviews. To her dismay, Caleb enters a dish very similar. Love is in the air as Caleb comes to Gabby’ rescue after her sous-chef burns himself.

On Saturday, August 10 tune in for the third movie in the Hallmark Channel Annual Summer Original Movies event. ‘Love and Sunshine’ brings together Ally Craig [Danika McKeller] who has recently retired from the military, and Sunshine, a rescue dog. With Sunshine’s help, Ally is putting her life back together after a broken engagement.

Jake Terry [Mark Deklin], Sunshine’s owner and Ally’s former military partner returns and wants his furry friend back. The former military partners discover they have more in common than their shared love for Sunshine.

Ryan Pavey [ex-Nathan West, General Hospital] and Erin Krakow star in ‘A Summer Romance,’ the fourth movie in the original summer movie line-up. Owner of a breath-taking and beautiful ranch in Bighorn, Montana, Samantha “Sam” Walker is faced with foreclosure, New York investors are breathing down her neck and send in the very wealthy Richard Belmont [Ryan Paevey].

While trying to convince Sam to sell the ranch to his company, Richard discovers some life-changing lessons, including the importance of family and a fledgling romance with the ranch owner. Tune in on Saturday, August 17 to see if Richard chooses love and a life with Sam in Montana over money.

The fifth and final movie, ‘All Summer Long’ airs on Saturday, August 24, stars Autumn Reeser as Tia and Brennan Elliott as Jake in this original romantic drama. Tia [Reeser] accepts a once in a lifetime offer as the captain of a dining cruise. Much to her dismay her ex, Jake [Elliott] has been hired as the restaurant’s chef.

Tune in to find out if Tia and Jeff can work together long enough to open a new business and navigate the high seas. There is the possibility that romance will be rekindled along the way along the way.
