About ‘Taking A Shot At Love’

The new movie is part of the Hallmark Channel’s “New Year, New Movies” programming line-up. It follows Jenna (PenaVega), who is a former professional dancer who now teaches ballet to children. One day, Jenna’s cousin, who is also a sports agent, convinces her to take on his NHL client, Ryan “Coop” Cooper (McFarlane). He has the same injury that ended Jenna’s dancing career.

At first, Coop doesn’t seem interested in the “balletas-therapy,” but eventually agrees because it’s his best chance to get back in the game. At the same time, Jenna needs the money because her dance school is struggling. The two start to get closer as they spend more time together. However, it will lead them to make a life-altering decision, but what will they choose to do?

New Hallmark Movie: Premiere Date

“Taking a Shot at Love” premieres on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 9 pm ET/PT. It is part of the “New Year, New Movies” programming block. Other movies added to the line-up include “A New Year’s Resolution,” “Two For the Win,” “Love in the Alps” and “Snowkissed.”
