British royal family news reveals that some Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex fans are claiming she was unfairly bashed for dissing young Princess Charlotte on her birthday. Her fans have been vocal on social media, pointing out every perceived slight that comes Meghan Thee Duchess’ way, and now they are targeting a child’s birthday—is there no shame?

Meghan Markle’s Fans Think That Their Princess Has Been Targeted Unfairly On Social Media

When Princess Charlotte turned four years old Kensington Palace posted new portraits of Kate and Prince William’s only daughter.

Posting the photographs on Instagram, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s social media channel captioned the pics by saying they were, “very pleased to share three new photographs of Princess Charlotte ahead of her fourth birthday.”

Mom Kate is an ardent amateur photographer and she has released several pics of her kids over the years rather than going for the type of glossy high end photo shoots the Markle’s prefer.

Charlotte’s aunt and uncle, Meghan and Harry, wished her happy birthday through what was then their official Instagram account ‒ Sussex Royal. They posted, “Happy birthday Charlotte! lots of love, H and M xo” with balloon and cake emojis.

Did Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Downgrade Their Niece On Her Birthday?

The lovely post was ripped to shreds by those who saw in their response a typical lack of delicacy and protocol. One posted, “Even on Kensington Royal she is referred to as Princess Charlotte. Meghan is just being disrespectful like she was to Prince Louis.”

That is a reference to when the Sussexes chose to refer to Kate and William’s youngest son as Louis, rather than using his full title.

And yet, Harry and Meghan are quite adamant that they be referred to as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex despite their decision to leave the royal family.

One poster explained it this way, “Even if they are related through Harry, she needs to call her Princess if other royals call her that. This isn’t because they’re related, it’s respect.”

Of course it’s unlikely to happen again since Meghan has since declared social media users to be addicts, and swears she has nothing to do with the online environment. Except she keeps bragging that she was the most trolled person in 2019, so how could she know that?

And, in November 2016, the couple called out the “outright sexism and racism of social media trolls” in a Palace statement.
