Hallmark Channel news and updates tease Teri Hatcher’s new movie with the network. She talked about how Mid-Love Crisis was the perfect choice for her.

Mid-Love Crisis is Hatcher’s second movie with Hallmark Channel. Her first film with the network was A Kiss Before Christmas, which aired last year on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. She had a blast during that time and was excited to work with the network again in the future. And now she got what she wanted.

The new movie, which aired on October 9, was definitely the right project for her.

“I was really happy for the opportunity to do this movie,” the actress said during an interview with MediaVillage.

“You never know what the next thing might be, and while this time it’s not a Christmas movie, it’s an equally fun movie I really related to,” she added.

Hallmark Channel News – Timing Is Everything

Hatcher also noted that the timing of the movie was good. She’s the type of person who loves to decorate and cook during the holiday season so she was happy that the film wasn’t around it. She also shared that she’s been doing stand-up comedy and writing comedy that focuses on woman aging. The script for the new movie showed a different way of telling the story about women aging. She considered it “the right script at the right time.”

In the film, Hatcher plays the role of Mindy Quinn, who’s about to celebrate her 50th birthday. Although she would rather let the day go by without fanfare, her loved ones want to celebrate the significant milestone. But Mindy is unaware that her daughter’s girlfriend invited her ex to join the celebration.

Hatcher explained that both women and men have to make certain shifts in their personal, professional, or love life once they pass the age of 50. The script allowed her to show that and inspire others to shift, grow, change, and accept what’s happening.

The actress was also impressed by the matter-of-fact way it presented same-sex marriage. In the movie, Hatcher’s character, Mindy, will learn that her daughter is in love with another woman and she plans to propose.

Her character struggles with her daughter’s decision to propose because she’s still young. Mindy doesn’t want her to make the same mistake she did when she lost sight of her independence. Her struggle as a mother in the movie doesn’t have anything to do with her daughter’s preference of a partner, which is something that she appreciates with Hallmark.
