Hallmark Channel News: When Calls The Heart’s Daniel Lissing Announces His Engagement

‘When Calls the Heart’ Daniel Lissing (Jack Thornton) is engaged! The actor made the announcement via Instagram. ‘WCTH’ cast members Pascale Hutton (Rosemary Coulter) and Andrea Brooks (Faith Carter) jumped in to congratulate him.

“Happy news to share… I get to marry the love of my life,” Lissing wrote, sharing a pic of his new fiancé wearing her gorgeous engagement ring and kissing the actor. Nadia also shared a pic announcing their engagement.

It is a simple black and white photo of Daniel and Nadia’s hands and her gorgeous engagement ring. In the background eagle-eyed Hearties can see the Tiffany & Co. bag, letting us know that Daniel spared no expense when it came to the ring with which he proposed.

Hallmark Channel News – Couple Recently Celebrated Their Birthdays

Just a few weeks ago the happy couple celebrated both Daniel and Nadia’s birthdays and shared pics with Hearties via Instagram. Standing on the beach, smiling and looking very happy, Daniel wrote, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my one and only!! @jegdiva I love you with all my heart.”

Nadia shared a pic of the couple sitting at a picnic table with a glass of wine in what appears to be the backyard of their home. Nadia wrote, “Happy birthday my love! I love you more than anything in this world.”

Daniel made the difficult decision to leave ‘When Calls the Heart’ when season five wrapped. The producers and writers made the painful decision to have Jack, a dedicated Mountie, die a hero in the Northern Territories, rather than recast the role.

Hallmark Channel News – Hearties Devastated By Jack Thornton’s Death

Hearties were shocked and devastated by Jack’s death. The actor spoke about his departure in a Facebook live chat. “Circumstances arose for me where I needed to leave When Calls the Heart for reasons that are very personal to me. I went to Hallmark and they were nothing but supportive of me. I went to [Erin Krakow and Lori Loughlin] and they were nothing but supportive of me.”

Not much is known about Daniel’s fiancé, except she is a private person and earned a master’s degree in communication. It has been reported previously that she a real estate agent who has built her career and personal life in Los Angeles, Westside area including Brentwood and Venice, building a strong business with buyers, sellers and investors.
