The Hallmark Channel spoilers tease that a new series, “When Hope Calls” will premiere on HMN, or their online network “Hallmark Movies Now”. The series is available online now with new episodes premiering every Friday.
When “Hope Calls” Is A Sister Series Of “When Calls The Heart”
“When Hope Calls” is a sister series of “When Calls The Heart”, starring Morgan Kohan, Jocelyn Hudon, and RJ Hatanaka. Season 1’s premiere episode, “New Hope” features sisters Lillian (Morgan Kohan) and Grace Bennett (Jocelyn Hudon), who face disapproval when they establish an orphanage in Lillian’s hometown.
But when a fire breaks out, they are then swept up in the community’s effort to prevent the blaze from engulfing the whole town. Ryan-James Hatanaka plays Gabriel Kinslow, Greg Hovanessian plays Dr. Chuck Stewart, Wendy Crewson plays Tess Stewart, Hanneke Talbot plays Maggie Parsons, and Jefferson Brown plays Joe Moody.
Episode Two, “From The Ashes”
In Episode Two, Lillian defends two of her boys when Constable Gabriel Kinslow (RJ Hatanaka) pegs them as his prime suspects in the investigation of the town fire. Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) and Lee Coulter (Kavan Joel Smith) come to Brookfield to help with efforts at reconstruction.
Episode Three “Out Of The Past”
In Episode Three, Lilian, as to decide whether or not an old photograph she has found, will provide the means to mend fences with Tess Stewart. Meanwhile, Grace is blindsided when Dr. Chuck Stewart decides to make life easier for her on her new job.
Episode Four “Lost And Found”
In Episode Four, Lillian and Grace head to Mountie Headquarters! They travel together, but each has a quest of their own, and Grace goes on her first outing with Chuck.
Episode Five “A House United”
In Episode Five, some drama happens concerning the orphanage, and a mysterious stranger shows up in town looking for work. A difficult customer at the hotel is revealed to be an inspector from the Children’s Bureau, who has concerns about the orphanage and about Grace’s past.

Episode Six “The Search”
In Episode Six, Constable Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) arrives from Hope Valley to get Gabriel’s help in catching a fugitive. Lillian is horrified to see the man on the wanted poster looks a lot like Sam Tremblay (Marshall Williams)! Chuck offers to guard Lillian, Grace, and the children.
Episode Seven “Surprise”
In Episode Seven, it’s the first chance the sisters have had to celebrate Grace’s birthday since they reunited. Lillian is determined to make it perfect! Meanwhile, Gabe is able to track down a key witness, and make progress in the robbery investigation.
Episode Eight “About A Girl”
In Episode Eight, Lillian and Grace try to reunite a family, while a visitor from Grace’s past comes to town.
Episode Nine “House In Order”
In Episode Nine, the last episode of Season One, a reporter shows up in Brookfield to do a story on Tess’s last husband. Lillian tries to set the record straight; Gabriel’s investigation hits close to home, and Chuck and Grace face an impasse in their relationship.
