Nancy Travis and Tiera Skovbye join the cast of Hallmark Channel’s new primetime series Ride focusing on a rodeo dynasty.

Exciting news is out about the cast of Hallmark Channel’s new primetime series, Ride. The new primetime series is centered on a rodeo dynasty and two more stars have been added to the cast. In fact, Nancy Travis (The Kominsky Method) and Tiera Skovbye (Riverdale) join Beau Mirchoff and Tyler Jacob Moore in the cast. With Chesapeake Shores heading for its final season, Hallmark fans are looking for a new series to follow. Meanwhile, Ride, a new prime series that follows a rodeo dynasty definitely fits the bill. Moreover, new cast members have been announced in the form of Tiera Skovbye as Missy. Her character is a former rodeo queen and McMurray by marriage and struggles to find her place in the family.

Meanwhile, Nancy Travis joins the cast as Isabel McMurray, the tough-as-nails family matriarch. In Ride, she is battling to keep her family legacy going following a tragedy.

Skovbye and Travis join Beau Mirchoff (Good Trouble, Hidden Gems) in the role of Cash McMurray. He is the second-born son aiming to continue his family’s legacy. Also, Jake Foy (Designated Survivor) plays Tuff McMurray, Isabel’s youngest son.

Moreover, Sara Garcia (The Flash), plays Valeria Galindo, while Tyler Jacob Moore (Shameless) is Gus, a handsome stranger who enters their lives.

When does production start on the Hallmark series?

Production on Ride started on Thursday, August 4, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The new Hallmark Channel series is set to air in 2023.

What is the plot of Ride?

According to Deadline, the new primetime series Ride follows the lives of the McMurray family. The family is part of a rodeo dynasty that goes back a generation. However, they are struggling to keep their beloved ranch going.

Meanwhile, following a tragic loss, each character heads out on an empowering journey of self-discovery and transformation. In the meantime, they uncover a twisted web of secrets that threatens to tear the family apart while also affecting their small Colorado town.

Emotions tend to run high in the McMurray family, while, despite clashes, they are a tight-knit group that doesn’t give up easily. Moreover, the three strong women in the family resolve to stand strong against all challenges come what may. The women include widowed rodeo queen Missy {Skovbye}, matriarch Isabel (Travis) and a former teen runaway, Valeria (Garcia).

Hallmark Channel – Behind The Scenes Of Ride

The new Hallmark series Ride is co-produced by Blink49 Studios and Seven24 films. They partner with Bell Media for CTV Drama Channel in Canada. The series is based on an original script penned by husband and wife writing team, Rebecca Boss and Chris Masi, who, together with Sherri Cooper-Landsman, are showrunners and executive producers.
