Hallmark Channel Star Lacey Chabert Sharing Moving Post About Her Sister’s Passing

Back in November 2021, Hallmark star Lacey Chabert lost her sister, Wendy and has now shared an Instagram post in her honor.

Hallmark Channel star Lacey Chabert sadly lost her sister, Wendy in November 2021. More recently, Lacey took to Instagram to share a post about a family vacation taken with her husband, daughter and her sister Chrissy. The image reveals this is her first major family trip taken in recent times and while she misses Wendy, she noted that her sister is always with her.

Lacey Chabert’s sister Wendy passed away unexpectedly in November 2021 and she is clearly thinking about her. In fact, as she went on her first major family vacation in a while, the whole family missed Wendy. However, Lacey revealed that she is always with them in their hearts, even when on vacation in Hawaii.

It is always difficult to lose a loved one, particularly a close family member like a sister. However, getting away on a family vacation does help with healing following a tragic loss. Lacey announced the heartbreaking news of her sister’s death in November last year. While the actress didn’t reveal the cause of death, it was clear from her post that it was a sudden tragedy.

After sharing the news on Instagram, Chabert’s friends and fellow Hallmark stars Nikki DeLoach, Tamera Mowry-Housley shared their support. Meanwhile, former Hallmark actresses Candace Cameron Bure and Danica McKellar also sent sweet messages.

What made things harder for Chabert was that her sister’s passing happened ahead of the busy Hallmark Christmas movie event. One Countdown to Christmas movie, Christmas at Castle Hart was one of her latest projects at the time.

At the time, Lacey shared that Wendy was her “biggest cheerleader.”  While it is always difficult to lose a loved one, when it happens during the holidays, it is particularly hard. However, Chabert dedicated the Hallmark movie to her sister, “as a tribute to her beautiful life.”

In her latest Instagram post, Lacey wrote that she was so thankful for the beautiful vacation she had with her husband, daughter and sister Crissy.

“It had been forever since we’d gone somewhere with no work involved. It was good to slow down and relax. We laughed so much and cried a little too as we thought about Wendy and how much we wished she could have been there with us. She was though… she’s forever in our hearts,” Chabert added.

Former and current Hallmark stars were quick to comment on the post, including three red heart emojis from Danica McKellar. Meanwhile, Holly Robinson Peete commented, writing, “So happy to see you got this rest in. Sending love.”

It is clear how important her family is to Lacey. Besides dedicating the Hallmark film to her sister, she also honored her grandparents in a recent movie. After making The Wedding Veil trilogy of films, Chabert admitted she had used a real photo of her grandparents’ wedding in the movie. The photo was clear to see in her character’s home in the film.

While many of her friends and co-stars are jumping ship for GAC Family, it seems Lacey isn’t going anywhere. She recently signed a huge deal with Hallmark to star in and executive-produce content for the Hallmark network for the next two years.
